Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"So she'd simply turn the water to obsidian around her?" I ask, "Why doesn't she wear obsidian boots or something?"

I summon a piece of shiny, uncarved obsidian in my hand.

 

I say to him, "Divided, we are weak against the horde of Bo-Kraa and Bor-Ka. If we unite, we may be able to end this. I agree to this, but I ask you this: Who would help two tribes? To them, we are just weak, uncivilized tribals." I look around to see if the enemy approaches.

 

"I don't know, but I know she can conjure water. Maybe primals are just different."

"I'm not sure... but we have many crafts ready to trade. We must make a name for ourselves; that cannot be done while dead."

The night is quiet and the horizon clear.

 

"She does seem very interesting. I guess being alive for so long does change a few things with magic and such." I say.

Stephanie flips over a page in her book, starting a new drawing.

 

OOC: Do you want a history of the continent?
"Very well then." I say to the man. "Do you have a means of transportation? I think traveling through the Raa-Nok River to Anole Lake is far to dangerous, as it is near the Bo-Kraa village. Also, we should stay away from the Kanfr lands. They do not take kindly to outsiders.

 

"Kind of crazy the things we're just finding out The Hive buried..."

"We had no plans; we were hoping you had something."

 

"This goes deeper than we first thought. The Hive is shrouded in mystery. A mystery wrapped around a riddle." I say.

Stephanie looks up, before flipping over an unfinished drawing and starting another.

 

I ponder my actions for a moment. I say to the ambassador, "Well, we could ask the Rondall Nation to help us, but I'm not sure what they would gain from helping us. The Kanfr Empire is always looking to acquire more land, but they'd likely take our land and kill us after. The Nynor Republic is too far. Elves and dwarves are rumored to live on islands, but they'd have more reason to kill humans than help us. I don't think any of the countries would want to help."

 

"Alright."

"Possibly make it as sharp as possible while still being light." The cloaked man says. I land on the ground. "I have the materials." I say.

 

"No kidding."
She turns to Ruby.
"You know, her life signs are low, but they're recovering pretty fast."

"It's not easy on any of us. If you can hold out another week, I'll look into getting us permission to be somewhere else."

Only problem is, she's out in a lava pool.

 

I look around if anyone else is above ground like me.

 

"I guess we really overexterted her. I feel kind of bad now." I say, looking at my trio of shurikens.

Abigail starts teleporting around randomly, clearly enjoying herself.

Stephanie focuses on her drawing, her legs crossed. She seems happy whilst she draws.

 

You're near Ruby, and by association, Aj's group.

"She was willing to do so. She's recovering fast."
Her tail twitches on the surface.

"Aj? The telepathic link never closed. I'm too tired to make any new ones, but... The girl's right. Kind of. My horns are like a storage for energy... life energy. That's what I use for everything."
Pause.
"Still too tired to get up..."

"Aj? Is she okay? She just moved."

 

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I get a strange feeling that Ruby's horns are a storage for her life energy. Call me crazy, but I think it's what she uses for everything. She's most likely too tired to do anymore work, nor get up." I say, grinning.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" I think.

 

"Ihra's healing magic will get me standing, but I won't be able to forge with it. It'll just get my face out of this pool."

"I sense your telepathy. I couldn't link to you, so I'm guessing she's okay."

 

"Damn, and I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for your meddling magic!" I say jokingly.

"Jokes aside, Ruby needs your healing. If it wasn't obvious, she doesn't especially like being face-down, passed out in a pool of lava." I say.

Abigail teleports over to the lava pool, "I'll help her out if she needs it." She says happily.

 

"Yeah, I can heal her. Helping her up will probably make things easier on her."

Ihra starts an incantation.

 

"We can hold out that long." I say. "Stay safe, friends." I start to check my soldiers to see if they are all okay, without any major injuries.

 

A lot of them are badly wounded. Another attack and you'll be wiped out.

 

I tell my bowmen to climb on top of the houses. I tell the rest to payroll the village. I then start to pace around the village, frantically looking for a solution to my problems.
