"Hmm... Malachite is pretty. Those gems are pretty sturdy, and... Yeah, I can do something. What first? Shurikens?"

Why? Why on the forums?

 

"Shurikens would be nice. Especially if they're made out of darkness." I say, smiling.

 

I'm a sucker for tradition.
It started out a forum rp, and it's still a forum rp.

If you want a legitimate answer, that's like asking why we come on the forums in the first place; I dunno, I enjoy it and it's better than some alternatives.

Yea but forums are for other stuff but not really for roleplaying. But I won't interrupt your roleplay, there is no rule against it. I was just wondering.

 

It's fine, but Off-Topic and Forum Games do (typically, from what I've seen) have some kind of frpg in them.

 

"Nah, they should be good as darkness. I probably don't need too many since I could easily reclaim them."

"Why did you lose the first set then?" Abigail asks.

"Crelucium." I reply.

 

Never know I might join this when I am bored . But totally understand. Was just curious, carry on with your roleplay.

 

"I could make them warp back to your hand after they hit something; recall's easy to imbue."

Energy and sigils start to gather around her hands. The materials arrange themseves on the anvil, and those she doesn't intend to use are set on the ground.

 

"If you could tie them to me so I could easily recall them whenever, that'd be nice. It might want the shurikens to stick, or stop them midair."

Stephanie hands Ruby my voodoo doll, "This might help..." She says quietly.

 

"No voodoo required. You can choose when you recall them, but I'll only be able to make three with these materials here."
...She says as it looks like any conventional smith could make dozens of axes with the materials there.

The sigils slowly start to flow around the materials.

 

"Three should be enough." I say happily.

Abigail extends and retracts her claws, looking at them, "I think an improvement to my claws themselves would be nice, but I can handle the technology side," Abigail says, "They've been hard to work with, and I was worried I might ruin them if I overdid anything. Maybe you could just sharpen them?"

 

"I can do better. Just give me a while."

The sigils circle the anvil.
"Abigail, please keep a lava pool below me while I do this?"

Energy is glowing so intensely in her claws, you can't see them. Just energy.

 

Abigail raises her hands, her eyes glowing orange. An extremely hot pool of lava melts the ground away under Ruby. The anvil seems relatively unharmed by the lava, unmoving on its surface.

Artemis, Katie and I stare in awe. Stephanie seems to have sat down and started drawing.

 

The materials are blasted with an almost blinding beam of energy. Color drains out of Ruby's horns until they're one-third of the way grey.

After the lingering energy and sigils clear, three black shurikens with malachite details remain on the mostly-intact anvil.

Ruby falls into the pool afterwards, tired.
"There... there you go... I bet you'll be happy with the quality of them... Whew... It's been a while since I did anything like that..."

 

"Whoaaaa! These are awesome!" I say, carefully collecting the shurikens from the anvil.

"Why not try them out?" Artemis asks, smiling, forming a wooden training dummy a short distance away.

I throw the shurikens towards the dummy, hitting it in the eyes with with two and the neck with the last.

"Still got it," I say, summoning the shurikens back to my hand, "Thanks Ruby!"

 

The shurikens end up cutting through the dummy.
"Try throwing that at a sword. All smiths from my world use variations of this technique... All the good ones, at least. The ones I taught... That didn't accidentally melt themselves. Or overexerted themseves."

 

I summon a fairly standard looking steel sword, and Artemis holds it up with a wooden hand. I take a few steps back and throw a shuriken at it, fairly quickly.

"Aren't you supposed to hit it against a sword to see which breaks?" I ask.

 

The shuriken cleaves the blade in two easily, barely losing speed.
"You could do that too."
