Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Interesting. I may inquire later, if you don't mind. Perhaps a trade of knowledge?"
She pauses.
"Let's find out. Do you have any good metals for making weapons?"

 

"Anything you can do for me?" The cloaked figure asks. It seems I (dragon) am off somewhere.

 

"Depends. I don't work for free; if you supplied the materials, though, I could make you almost any weapon, a possible few basic enchanted effects imbued as well."

 

"Sure, but what do you think you can do for me? I'm already pretty decked out."

 

"Depends on what you want. I'm not you; I also don't use weapons. They just get in my way."

 

"How about...a dagger?"

 

I keep pushing forward. I still frantically look for their leader while cutting down enemy tribals.

 

"A dagger? I've got one that I don't use, ever."
I take out Luphyx's dagger.
"If you're fine with it being imbued with light magic by Luphyx."

 

"No thanks. I'd rather have a specific dagger, made to go with my set." In an instant, a sword made of ice, a crossbow made of ice and a spear made of elements appear on the ground. The cloaked figure picks them up one by one and somehow hides them in his cloak. "By the way, do you know where Drake went?" The cloaked figure asks.

 

I put the dagger back.
"Absolutely no clue. I don't imagine it'd be that hard to find him, though."

 

"Any enchantments?"

You can't find them, but after a moment, your forces are flanked by even more enemy tribals. The only thing that would make this possible is if there was an alliance forged against you.

Well, that complicates things.

 

Aura looks at the flower, wondering how she can accept it.

"Wow, didn't expect that. That looks like it should take a lot of magic."

 

I tell my soldiers to fall back, and I grab a conveniently placed torch. I light as many houses on fire as I can, intending to do as much damage as possible.

 

"Nope! It's part of me. In fact, it's easier than trying to move physically with these chain wounds..."
She slides one of her braces off her wrist to show the deep impressions. Judging by the braces on each wrist, her ankles, and neck, moving on her own must be difficult.

The entire village is burning already, it'd be better to just run.

 

I tell all my soldiers to flee, and I follow behind them.

 

"That's... that's horrible! Why would anyone do that?"

 

Projectiles take out a few of your men, but they don't pursue.

Well, that went horribly.

"I don't know. I thought I was dead; they ran a blde through my neck."

 

"They must have used magic to keep you alive for... something."

Aura decides to take the flower from Sgavrinn.

[A few miles away]

"All you people do is think I'm hostile... you don't even have any idea what I am."
"Eras knows something about you."
"I don't know who he is, so I'm guessing he arrived after I examined all of you. Same with you actually."

[In the Void]

"Well, if you have no other wishes of me, I will go to the library."

 

"I have no idea for what, though."

Sgavrinn lies on the ground, looking at Aura curiously.

"And who might you be?"
Reed apparently followed.

"Feel free."

 

Stephanie looks to me.

"Hmm, let me see." I say, disappearing.

I reappear a moment later, various bars and gems in my hands.

"I have Malachite, Gold, Diamond, Steel, Cobalt and Quartz," I say, placing the materials on the ground in front of me, "Do you think you can do anything with those?"

"Oh, I almost forgot," I say, disappearing and re-appearing again, "Darkness." I say, placing a few black bars on the ground.

"You might be able to do something with these..." Stephanie says, taking three, large, dark purple gems from her cloak and adding them to the pile, "They might take quite a bit of magic to forge, though..."
