"No, many dragons have an eye for shinies. That there? I'll be surprised if you haven't attracted one or more."

 

"Oh, none. I haven't met any dragons, outside of Rineth and Abigail, who can transform into one."

 

"Odd. I'm a bit surprised."

 

"Once again, I'll go back to my other question: How old do you think I am?"

 

"Very well. I shall keep this short and simple. Are you a spy sent by Xlentia?"

 

"Hard to tell with constructs."

"Even though I am still loyal to her, I wouldn't stoop as low as becoming a spy or an assassin. I have standards, mind you."

 

"Not even a decade. Two to four years less, approximately. I really haven't lived for that long."

 

"At least people still have standards."

 

"Strange... You're comparatively young, then."

"You're yet to be able to talk about those."

 

"To everything here? Yeah, I've come to terms with it. I've got the info that I know, though, it's just being social I need to work on. They don't exactly teach you much of that when they throw you aside for scraps later."

 

"Heh, sounds like you came out of a hive of your own."

 

"I find your humor amusing."

 

"You're hiding nothing."

 

"I don't think I'd really need a smith," I say, unsheathing Shadow Katana, "But that doesn't mean others won't. I guess it's a nice trait."

I smile at Ruby. Stephanie walks back over to me.

 

"Oh, I do believe Abigail might not mind some new claws. Sgavrinn could use a little armor, considering what you're bringing him through, and Ragnyon may want something more than woven vines as braces, and possibly a staff made a bit more for stability whilst walking. Also, if you're going for the ninja look, you may as well tote a few shurikens..."

It's clear what her hobby is.

 

"I...kind of ran out of shurikens a while back..." I say, embarrassed, "I just haven't really bothered to get more, so it'd be nice if you could forge me some."

"Do you think you could improve upon my original claws? These have sentimental value to me," Abigail asks, extending her obsidian claws, "I've managed to improve multiple aspects of my armour, but I struggled to find a good improvement for my claws."

"Wouldn't you need an anvil, forge, water and a hammer to do some blacksmithing?" Artemis asks.

 

"I can make more, I'd be happy to try to upgrade them, and...

...well...

...it'd help in terms of speed and exhaustion, but I technically don't need the materials most smiths need. Just blast it with some magic, alter a few spells, and I can make anything as well as any forge you've seen. Did you know that our robes are made of metal? I use the same technique used to achieve the flexibility and texture of the metal there."

Ihra, confused, pinches her robe. It behaves like fabric, but her claws can't pierce.
"That explains a lot."
"I could make those too! But it'd take a lot of time, and I'd need the materials. Same with a lot of this stuff. Even conjured stuff comes from somewhere; I can't just pull everything out of my horns."

 

"I have quite a few materials stowed away, so I could probably supply you with some if you needed." I say.

"I've managed to make weaponry and such through a special form of alchemy..." Stephanie says, summoning a strange hammer in her hand. One side of the head of the hammer is blunt, while the other looks sharp.

 

"A surface to use that will neither create a fissure in this planet or get Myria at my neck again would be most beneficial. Lava is easy, so is water. My form of smithy doesn't need a hammer, per se... The magic used is a lot more powerful, sometimes even as such as when I... uh... messed up. I'm still sorry for asking."

 

I think for a moment, before disappearing.

"I can make other things. It's taking the essence of objects and combining them to form something new; though what it costs to make differs with each object. You can either supply the materials required, or substitute magic." Stephanie explains.

I reappear, holding a rather large anvil, "Will this do?" I ask, dropping the anvil on the ground in front of me.
