Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I get an idea. "It is I, the evil, Uhm, Lord Terra!"

 

Violet gasps, "Lord Terra! My evil ex partner in crime!" Violet says, shocked.

"H-Hey! Stay away from us!" I shout. My smaller size makes me hardly intimidating.

The maid remains on the ground, still crying.

"And what might you be doing here?"
I say, standing in between the maid and Lord Terra.

 

"Ah, if it isn't Violet! It's been a while, hasn't it?"

"I've come for revenge! After that humiliating defeat, I shall not allow myself to wallow in shame!"

 

"You've already hurt me enough, Terra! Remember when we used to date? Remember when we went on those crime missions together? Remember when you left me for that wench!?" Violet shouts, "I have nothing left for you! Nor does my gang!"

I hide behind Violet, scared.

 

"Ah, what are you talking about, Violet? Don't you remember the great times we had? Blowing up the warehouse...massacreing an entire town population...robbing the most prestigious bank in the world...don't you want to return to that? Just say the word, and things will be back to normal."

 

"I'm past you, Terra! You were draining me the whole time; yet I couldn't let go...We're done!" Violet says, holding up her gun.

"Goodnight, sour prince!" Violet shouts, firing the gun. The bullets fade away as they hit you; it seems they're just illusions.

 

Sgavrinn calms down and lays in the flowers.

Ragnyon's spirit form draws closer.
"Is this..."

"Nothing. Guilt is the toxin that grows most potent given time. Forgiveness is up to mother."

Looks good. Pick a cardinal direction this place is in comparison to the mainland and you're in.

 

Myria smiles, "Necromancy? Yes," She says, "I instructed Artemis on how to bring me back, I wanted to see her."

Artemis smiles.

 

"So you're her mother."
Ragnyon's spirit form merges with her physical body. She bows, still on Sgavrinn.
"Nice to meet you. I owe your daughter and her friends my life."

Reed waves in the distance, nervous.

Ihra's still trying to restore life to the ground near the flower.

 

"It's nice to meet you too. I'm Myria." Myria says, offering a handshake.

The flower melts into the ground, restoring the life around it.

"Who's that in the distance?" Myria asks, looking toward Reed.

"That's Reed, mother. He was being mind controlled, and we saved him, in a sense." Artemis says.

"Good girl, Artemis. I'm glad Kyrae raised you well." Myria says, smiling at her daughter.

 

Ihra uproots herself as Ragnyon feebly accepts the handshake.
"Heh... She offered me her pet to stay on. I can hardly walk like this..."
Ragnyon trails off, not wanting to change the subject onto her pain.

"Hi! What's your name?" Ihra cheers, waving.

 

"Is there anything I could do to help?" Myria asks.


"I'm Myria, Artemis' mother." Myria says, smiling at Ihra.

"That's Ihra. She's one of my friends." Artemis says happily.

 

"So far, nobody's been able to do much, if anything. I don't usually need to move much, though. I'm a prophet, and the society I used to serve killed me... So I thought, but here I am."

"Artemis' mother? Artemis, I thought you said you hated necromancy!"

Ihra walks up to Sgavrinn and scratches his snout a bit, causing him to smile at her.

 

"That sounds quite horrible. I'm glad you're away from them." Myria says, smiling.

"I...I am against necromancy, but...mother told me what to do, and, even though I didn't know it was her at the time, I felt I could trust her." Artemis says.

"As a death guadian, I know about the terms in which necromancy should be used. Artemis was doing nothing wrong in bringing me back; I wanted to see her again, and she wasn't disturbing the dead for malicious of selfish purposes." Myria explains.

Artemis hugs her mother again.

 

"There are laws regarding magic? I give up!"
She tosses her staff lazily on the ground. It reappears in her hand.

"Master, might I be able to talk to her since she's reated to you?"
Sgavrinn sniffs at Myria.

 

"There are not really laws, just rules to use it properly. You don't have to follow them, it was just part of my responsibility as a parent to steer Artemis in the right direction; even if I wasn't around," Myria says, "I've taught Artemis to not use necromancy for her own uses, and to not unwillingly bring spirits back to life. Some spirits wish to remain dead."

"If you can, I'm sure she'd like to speak with you." Artemis responds.

 

"Oh. I thought I was giving those after me another reason to kill me."

Sgavrinn tries reaching out to Myria telepathically.
"Hello?" He nervously utters.

 

"Hello. If I'm tracing this correctly, you're Artemis' pet?" Myria replies.

Myria walks over to Sgavrinn, gently petting him. Her touch makes Sgavrinn feel calmer.

 

"Yes, I was a gift to Artemis from Ihra. My name is Sgavrinn."
He hums softly when pet.
