Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"So banishment attempts are merely absorbed by it?" The earth guardian guesses.


The half-spider's arachnid legs try to dig themselves into the ground to keep her balance, the bat demon coming to help out as her arms give way.

"Oh, we're stripping off, are we?" The succubus says with a breathy voice, before properly flexing. It appears only the design of her clothes are the barrier to complete nudity as - with the reveal of curved horns, a long tail and a pair of demonic wings - the full extent of the succubus' scar-touched muscles is revealed; little of her clothing left as it rips away.

"I can't show you my techniques without getting closer." The succubus says as she approaches the kobold, each step seeming to be taken with a deliberate stride.

 

“Yes. Banishment in general is done with great care, since anyone banished contributes a portion of their strength and the banished energy to Oenimoras. Thus, why we didn’t just banish The Twilight Menace.”


The axe is so heavy, it’s best for the duo to let it fall to the ground.

“Well that label sure as hell isn’t waterproof!” she quips, smirking.
“Come on, let’s see if you give as well as you take.”
The kobold simply gets into a combat stance, keeping still.

 

"Can't you just open a portal to an inescapable realm?" The forest guardian asks.


The pair does, though the half-spider wraps it in a web to dissuade others from stealing it.

The succubus throws a weak punch, seeming to make her actions intentionally obvious.

 

“It’s an embodiment of nullmagic. You can’t just shove it through a portal.”


The kobold raises a stone slab to intercept the feint, concealing her next move as a result.

 

"I meant to banish people, instead of...well, banishing them properly." The forest guardian says.


"Oh, we're playing like that, are we? I thought we weren't using magic." The succubus says, seeming ready for whatever's next.

 

“Oh. It keeps Oenimoras from waking up hungry.”


“I said no weapons,” she retorts, “unless you’d rather be split in half?”

The succubus’ friends can plainly see the kobold winding up for a punch.

 

"So...you want to feed him despite him being against you?" The forest guardian asks, confused.


"I don't intend to use weapons, darling. I'll stick to those rules." The succubus says, breathing in through her nose as a slight shine glints over her muscled body.

 

“If we can’t destroy him and we can’t put him somewhere else more remote, keeping him content down there seems like the next best thing. At least, I think it’s a him...”


The kobold responds by punching her own wall, shards of something as tough as bedrock shotgunning towards the succubus at insane speeds both at her wings and above her as she feints to the left with a jab.

 

"And you just feed him sacrifices like some ancient human god?" The earth guardian asks.


The rock simply bounces off the static succubus, who appears to be completely unaffected by it. A second later, she seems to resume movement, swiftly grabbing the kobold's jab and holding it tight.

 

“The difference is that Oenimoras is very much real... those thrown to him are criminals bound to eternal torment, though. Does it justify it, probably not, but it’s enough for me to sleep at nig- well... you know the saying.”


The kobold seemed to be hoping for this; a haymaker a split second later hitting the succubus’ wrist and shattering every bone in their arm and liquifying her hand as she circle releases into a behind-the-knee tackle.

 

"It still seems a little...outdated to be sacrificing people like that though, real or not." The forest guardian says.

"To us," The earth guardian corrects, "They share a different culture here."


Strangely, the succubus' bones don't quite shatter, though by the sound of it they break. The succubus lets out a moan, but not of pain; a moan of pleasure. A slimy substance begins to secrete itself from the succubus' arm, though it doesn't appear to do a lot.

The succubus lets herself be tackled, seeming to enjoy the experience.

"That's the best you've got? I'm barely aroused." The succubus says, a tinge of disappointment in her voice.

 

“What works, works.”


Petra turns and breaks the succubus’ hips with another punch while cutting into her arm with a jagged stone in one smooth motion, before turning hard and throwing a jab that breaks a few of the bones in her right leg.
“Did you miss the part about no backup?” she asks as she takes a step back from her offense.

 

The air guardian floats away from the edge as the forest and earth guardian begin to plan out where to go next.


"It's just me, darling." The succubus says, moaning as her hips crunch. A substance - hopefully sweat - appears just below them. The succubus breathes in through her nose again, before seeming to go still.

 

The sound of music can be heard from a nearby tower, albeit only faintly from the outside.


Petra raises a wall to cover her back as she prepares to block an attack.

 

The air guardian flies over to the tower, curious. Shortly after, the earth guardian launches himself and the forest guardian using a spike from the ground; keeping hold of the forest guardian as he tries to create a ledge to grab on the tower.


No attack comes, though it does seem to give the succubus some time to recover; her bones crunching as they re-align and heal.

 

The windows reveal a dance, a myriad of couples of various species enjoying a peaceful night together.


Petra uses this opportunity to launch the succubus at her using a slab to amplify a horn-stub-first headbutt.

 

The air guardian helps her friends up to the windows, the trio looking in at the dance.

"We probably shouldn't be spying on these people." The forest guardian says, growing a thick vine out of the wall to hold on to.

"Maybe we could ask to join in?" The air guardian asks.

"I can look for a way inside." The earth guardian says, putting his ear to the wall and tapping it with his foot; trying to feel out the structure of the tower.


The succubus seems a lot heavier than Petra was expecting, hardly launching and more flipping forward. Her body, however, doesn't move; almost like a statue.

 

There’s a huge entryway near the housing area, just on the other side of the spire. Alternatively, a shortcut would be to just go in through the spire and turn right.


Petra intercepts the lazily flipped body with a mach-speed haymaker to her torso, before weaving about to break her wings if not cut their membranes via claw.

 

The earth guardian opts to take the shortcut, pulling out a platform from the tower to assist his friends before guiding them to the spire.


It feels like hitting a thick wall of metal, Petra's hand taking equal force back to her hand as the succubus merely falls back to where she was. For a brief moment after the punch, the succubus' smooth skin seems to change to a metallic sheen before covering over again.

"I didn't know she knew how to do that." The half-spider says off to the side, surprised.

 

There’s... already a paved path.


Petra follows up with a much more forceful punch, seeming to use the recoil from the first to deliver an uppercut very much able to dent if not shatter such a sheet of metal - if not one twice the width and density.
