Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Temporus' manipulation of time is very delicate. I cannot assure you success with him if you require it." Tenebrae responds.

 

“Is it not an equilibrium? I only know a small bit of chronomancy, though not of this reality.” Rineth asks, before pausing.
“Argh, my apologies. It’s none of my business.”

 

"It is a process only he can fully understand. I am certain the structure of time is different across realities, however." Tenebrae explains.

 

“I appreciate the insight, but I’m not sure you should let me waste your time more than I have.”

 

"I will always listen, my child." Tenebrae says sweetly, before the connection is cut.


A guard checks Amethyst's chamber to see if she's there, looking quite excited.

 

Her room shows recent activity, but as what has become almost normal it's impossible to see if she's actually there until she shows herself.
"Did something come unraveled?" She asks, unweaving herself from her bedsheets.

 

"No, Lady Amethyst. You have a special guest here to see you. The king of our neighboring realm, the realm of shadows; along with his partner." The guard explains.

 

Amethyst looks at the guard, seeming unamused.
“Am I required to see him?” She asks, seeming annoyed.

 

"Well...you're free to stay here, though it would be quite rude when he's made the effort to come here." The guard says.

 

“And if history is any indication, he’s here to trash the place.” Amethyst growls. “But I’ll go.” She mutters, grabbing a sewing needle. “You lead.”

 

"No, he has arrived on neutral ground. He isn't here to harm us." The guard says, leading Amethyst to the throne room.

Once Amethyst arrives at the throne room, the guard suddenly speaks up.

"Wait here. I'll tell them you've arrived." The guard says, before heading into the throne room; it's dauntingly large doors seeming to cause only slight issue as he opens them.

 

Amethyst nods and waits, still untrusting.

 

The guard soon leaves again, motioning for Amethyst to enter and holding the door open.

 

She enters, sticking the sewing needle through her sleeve.

 

I appear to be standing with the Solus and Leilia, though comparatively much smaller, along with Artemis. A striking difference is that I appear to be made of light instead of darkness, looking just like a light creature.

"Ah, Amethyst. It's good to see you," I say happily, "I have a proposition for you. Do you happen to speak Ancient Dacori?"

 

She glares at you.
"What, if I say no you'll start a war here all over again?" She growls. "If it means you leaving my home alone, fine."
Pause.
"Yes, I speak it. The hell do you want from me now?"

 

"A little bit rude but alright," I say calmly, "There's currently a...blockage between our realities. A new monarchy has moved into the Void Palace and won't let anyone who doesn't speak Ancient Dacori through. In addition to this, they're planning a war on our reality that would be extremely damaging to our efforts to fix the war on yours. We need you to be our translator."

I hold up a mage coin, "I understand you are quite the fan of fashion. Do this for us, and I will buy you whatever materials you desire with this," I say, trailing off a bit, "It's your choice, though..."

 

"Five kilos of pure orichalcum or no deal." Amethyst says bluntly.

 

I hesitate for a moment.

"Two and a half." I haggle.

 

"Did your tongue slip, or did you decide you'll keep looking?" Amethyst asks, cross.
