Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie dives into the pool in the middle of the cave, headed towards the surface. An ice sculpture of herself forms next to the pool, keeping guard.

 

Turns out that Arnold was about to dive at the wisp from above.
He slashes down at the wisp with the mace end.

 

"I guess we wait...?"

"Everything okay down there, Katie?"

The wisp turns into a scythe, hooking he mace and throwing Arnold to the ground before going back to a wisp.
"Anything more than a magic robot? Perhaps you have some sign of intelligence?"

 

The ice-Katie keeps an eye on Ragnyon and Ihra, yet remains silent. The pool ripples slightly.

 

Virei'tus moves closer to the pool.
"Katie?"

 

The pool ripples again.

 

He looks into the water, using true sight.

 

Katie swims toward the surface of the pool; her fish tail present. What looks like a trail of red follows behind her, yet she keeps swimming anyway.

Katie eventually surfaces, her head poking out of the water.

"Hey, is everything alright up here? Ihra and Ragnyon are getting bored." Katie says. The water around her seems to be slowly turning redder and redder.

 

"Yeah. Are you okay?"

 

"Uhm, yeah...kinda...maybe..." Katie says.

The pool seems to be rather red now.

 

"It would appear you're dying there. ARTEMIS!"

 

Artemis runs over, "What's wrong?" She asks.

"No, no, it's fine. Just a little cut." Katie says, looking pale.

 

"What did you do?"

"Katie's apprently dying. So..."
"Who did that to you?"

 

Seeing Artemis run over, I do the same.

 

"It's just one of the tunnels collapsed...but I'm fine...nothing major." Katie says through breaths, looking very pale.

 

"Artemis, heal her?"

 

Artemis puts her arms into Katie's pool, grabbing Katie and dragging her out. Upon exiting the water, a rather large open wound can be seen streching from just below Katie's arm to the end of her tail; and fragments of rock stick out of some parts.

Artemis wraps Katie in vines, carefully extracting the rock fragments.

"It's...nothing too bad...you don't need...to worry about...me." Katie says.

"It's pretty bad." Artemis responds.

 

"Huh. There's been something there that's been nagging me. I thought it was you, but I'm not so sure anymore. Lefalya gave me a choice, and I picked 'or' and then a portal opened up, sucking her in. She was thrown out heavily wounded, at which point Riihs killed her for me."

"You can't defend Ihra and Ragnyon if you're wounded like that, you know?"

 

Ragnyon's spirit form gasps.
"Th... So we're also stuck down here?! Artemis, please heal her! Ihra's already showing signs of wilting."

"Strange. Doesn't change my viewpoint, but it's something to consider nonetheless."

 

"Indeed."
