Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gaia sinks down into the depths of the ocean, surface making it look deceptively shallower than it really is. She can immediately hear beautiful singing coming from all around her, though it seems to be in a language she's never heard before.


"Well, hopefully no laws will be working against you while you stay here." The guard says positively.

 

"Assume she went to bed?"

"Yeah, probably."

 

"What about this reality?"

 

Gaia flails slowly, trying to right herself.
“A little help please I don’t want to crush anything...” Gaia rambles, still tumbling as she sinks.


“I... don’t even know the laws. And I can barely read, and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time reading every little clause to me.”

“Yes I promise to be good boy in temples. No I will not promise that otherwise.”

As time passes, you hear the rain fall harder and a couple of lightning strikes.

 

"Sounds like a thunderstorm outside. I would want to see, but.. I'm unable to move at the moment."

 

Currents seem to form around Gaia, keeping her upright in the water and slowing her descent.


"Well, don't kill anyone and be respectful. You don't need to worry about the specifics of laws as long as you know right from wrong." The guard says positively.

 

"Fine. It's your head on my pike, I guess."

 

"I mean, you're welcome to try and kill me. I can always just opt to not get you back out of O'rogal's palace."

"Thanks..." She says, looking down in attempts not to crush anything as she lands.


"So, don't hurt anyone, don't be an asshole, and if I keep to myself I won't have to worry?"

Your bestial form snores loudly in response, almost as if trying to compete with the storm in terms of noise made.

 

"Haha. Yeah, I know. It's not the most pleasant."

 

"My point is that if you make a mess, I'll have to clean up. Got it?"

 

A few water guardians swim up to Gaia's counterpart as she lands, curious. Fish swim away from her, however, having their home disturbed.


The guard nods happily.

 

"I'll be damned if I ever leave another mess." Scurn scoffs, dropping his carefree demeanor.

After another few hours, there's a knock at the door.
"Get up. Leviathan's back." The gorgon says.

Coral and a bit of other underwater flora flourish as she walks, radiating an immense life force as she follows her counterpart silently.


"In that case... I'll just head back to my room. Thanks for explaining stuff, though!" She says happily, walking back to her room.


Mortius senses something resembling a lesser version of him emerge near Katie's palace.

 

"Oh crap. Already?"
I'll try to wake myself up.

"Time to go, me."

 

Your bestial form turns, but doesn’t bother opening its eyes.

The gorgon knocks harder on the door, finally getting your beast form to sit up.

Okay, okay. I’m awake. Your turn, I’m... not really awake.

You then go back into human form, which would be good except for that the door is still barricaded.

 

"Hang on. Will be there in a second."
And I'll start taking down the barricade.

 

Gaia glances back, noticing her counterpart's silence.

"What's wrong?" Gaia asks, a few bubbles escaping her mouth as she talks; flying towards the surface.


Concerned, Mortius leaves his domain; appearing in one of the caves near Katie's palace a few minutes later; cloaked by it's darkness.

 

"...Does that 'another' need to be any of my business?"

 

“I can’t talk underwater, sorry.” She says telepathically. “It’s a bit hard to see, though.”


He notices a draconian with a guillotine blade at the end of a chain, pacing in front of a few humans bound in igneous rock.
The draconian pauses, before looking over towards Mortius.
“A death god... this place has a death god?” The draconian thinks, curious before taking a single step towards Mortius.

“Unless you give a shit about things I did four years ago, no.”

“Did you actually put all the furniture against the door?”

You can barely move the dresser, though the chair and bedside table are easy moves.

 

"Do you want to go to the surface? We could sit on an island." Gaia suggests.


Mortius focuses his hollow eyeholes on the draconian, a sense of unease and fear creeping into them; increasing in potency the longer they look.

 

“Aren’t there more guardians here, though?”


She looks ever so slightly away before trying to open a telepathic connection.
“High god of death, I am the Crystal Armada’s Grand Executioner - Apocalypse. May I request the rules of this realm? I do not wish to stir trouble.”
