Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You know nothing of my goddess. As such, I will warn you; speak to the others as you did to me, and you will-" They pause, before smirking.
"My my, would you look who decided to stop by."

Ihra sighs as she uncloaks.
"Why is it always you?" Ihra asks, looking at Abigail with some signs of exhaustion. "Could you please just, for once, make a friend instead of an enemy?"
Iris uncloaks behind Ihra.
"I'm just here so you die first if you try to kill her as you've always dreamed." She shrugs.


Kiin falls silent, seeming concerned as she looks over at Abigail, Iris, Ihra, and the equinox.

 

"What are you two doing here? Come to give me a lecture on the values of peace, love and friendship?" Abigail says, seeming pissed.

 

“No, I was wondering how you were doing and you once again made me regret caring for you.” Ihra sighs. “I thought I told everyone here not to talk to you, but clearly that didn’t reach everyone.”
“I’m just bored.” Iris says. “All of those suck, though. That’s why I keep asking her to just kill you.”
“You already tried once and I stopped you.”
“And now I ask permission. And you still stop me.”
Ihra sighs.
“Look, I don’t care how cool you think you are. You’re... y-you’re acting like a bitch and I’m sick of your bullshit!” She says, tearing up as she seems to be reaching a breaking point.


“S-sis...? I think we should do something...” Kiin says nervously, barely overhearing Ihra’s rant.

 

Abigail just gives Ihra a confused look.

"What?" Abigail asks, uncertain of what's happening.


"We might need to postpone the trip..." Katie says worriedly, looking at Abigail.

 

“I am no longer a child! I do not sit in piles of money, I do not hide in some space station in the middle of nowhere, I do not mourn at a destroyed palace!” Ihra says, frustrated. “I’m tired of you still treating me like trash, okay?! I give up on trying to be your friend! Maybe I was naive thinking you ever cared, but I’m through with that! You win, I’m done!”
“Ihra? You, uh... really ought to leave the anger to me.” Iris says, a bit intimidated.


Kiin glances at Katie, nervousness showing.

 

"Sure... let's just hurry up and run."

 

Abigial just stays silent, though the air around her warms as she just glares at Ihra.


Katie seems just as nervous, water beginning to creep up from the ocean around her feet.

 

Iris steps between the two.
"Hey, now, quick reminder about peace love friendship and that other crap."
Ihra turns to the equinox.
"Speak against Lady Gaia again and you'll be relocated." She snaps, before turning back to Abigail.

"Let me make one thing clear; acting like this, like a bitch, is far from cool - and I know you're going to just turn around and talk trash behind my back. Again. If you keep it up, you're just gonna make yourself even more lonely than you feel. But, you've kept it up, so I'll let you have your way this time."

Iris continues standing between Ihra and Abigail as Ihra fights tears.


Kiin lets go of Katie, seeming ready to skate after her.

The hurry up and run plan works well until you reach the shifter village.
A wyvern stretches their wing over your head, shielding you from the rain.
"What's the rush, friend? Not a fan of a bit of water?" They ask, blocking the entryway.

 

"Yes. Not a fan. Is that a problem?"

 

The heat around Abigail grows more intense, before she kicks the ground in one quick movement. Abigail immediately throws a fireball at the disrupted sand, causing an arc of foggy glass to appear between her and Iris, Ihra, Katie and Kiin; seeming to seal her in from all sides but her back. Abigail pounds the ground behind the glass, causing sand to explode and fly into the air around her; making her even harder to see.


Katie creates a thick shield of ice to protect from all the heat and sand.

 

The equinox sinks into the water, watching Abigail cautiously.

Ihra puts up a barrier, knocking on Katie’s shield with a distraught face as Iris keeps tabs on Abigail’s soul.


Kiin just hides behind Katie’s legs.

“Not a problem, but it’s a bit suspicious when someone just bolts in here. Have you considered an umbrella?”

 

"No. I have not. Lived in the wild most of my life. I don't have the luxury for an umbrella."

 

Abigail seems to stay behind her glass barrier, before a huge explosion dispels the sand and shatters the glass sends her flying high and out of sight.

 

The equinox seems to grab the shrapnel out of the air as they jump back onto the dock, crushing the glass back to a sandy grain and returning it to the beach.

Ihra sighs, sitting down on the dock and hiding her face.

"Oh... Were you looking for a job, or just visiting?"

 

"I'm looking for someone. I got to cancel an order, so to speak."

 

"It's a weekend, a lot of places are closed..."
Pause.
"Wait a minute, let me guess. That suit's yours?"

 

Katie looks toward the skies, seeming to think. Water swirls about her feet idly as she appears to zone out.

 

"Yes..."

 

Iris continues following the path Abigail took, watching to see if she transformed.

Kiin sits down on the sand, seeming something between confused and tired.

"The seamstress is closed today, unfortunately. I can leave her a memo that you need to cancel the order, if you'd like."

 

Abigail seems to refrain from transforming, though speeds herself along with jets of flame. After gliding through the sky for a while, Abigail eventually angles herself toward what seems to be a human town.


Katie eventually snaps back to her senses, and heads toward the cave at the end of the beach.

"I'll be back soon, Kiin!" Katie says positively as she departs.
