Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie shakes her head.

"They've not been captured." Katie says cheerily.

Abigail gives Katie a cautious look.

 

"That's good, but... how does miss Tenebrae know? Isn't that Lady Gaia's thing?"

You know, I know you want me to stop thinking about Anne, but what if that was her on the leviathan?

"No no no, hold on just a minute. The one? There's only one Gaia, what's going on?" Scurn protests.

 

"You mean she's going to the main land?"

 

"I don't know, but she said that they weren't in any danger." Katie says happily.

 

“Yep. That’s right. There’s one Gaia.”
I nod, hiding my smugness.

 

"You're a terrible liar. What happened that made there be two Gaia?"

Kiin seems a bit nervous.
"I still think we should try to get the fancy map out of human hands. You know I already sent ships to support any active guardian-human confrontations, but I'm tired of just sitting around while mum and dad go off and never tell us anything."

Maybe? I don't know for sure, but I didn't see anyone on his back so whoever went over must be small.

 

"Just multiple-reality stuff. Once again, don't worry about it."

 

"Right. Well, no way to know for sure."

 

"We could go looking for it!" Katie says happily.

 

“Should I get another ship, then?” Kiin asks, seeming a bit hopeful.

We could ask him when he gets back, I guess.

“Where did the rift open, and are you one of the othersouls?” Scurn presses.

 

"Hope it will be before the sun goes down."

 

"See, I can't answer that question if neither 'rift' nor 'othersouls' have context."

 

Katie seems to pause for a moment.

"Sure!" Katie nods, looking at Abigail.

"Hm? Oh, sure." Abigail says casually.

 

“She could maybe talk with the equinox, they do fire things.” Kiin says, waving a portal back to the beach outside Katie’s palace.

“Rift, a connection to another reality. Othersoul, a being from another reality.”

Should we just wait? Or maybe tell that person who made the suit you might not be getting married?

 

"Oh. That might be a good idea. Anne paid already, didn't she?"

 

"I'm not telling you either until I hear why you care."

 

"Are they some kind of weird brony group? I'm not into that." Abigail says as she and Katie walk through the portal.

 

"They repair the ships with fire magic, and they're also sort of like the medic. They really hate talking to anyone who doesn't know fire magic, though."

"Two realities connecting together with a rift can be cataclysmic for both. It'd be nice to know who's bringing us towards death's door."

Yeah, so we own the clothes anyways, but we should at least tell her since she's holding on to them for us.

 

"Well, I guess I could try talking to them." Abigail shrugs, though not sounding optimistic.

 

"I'm flattered you'd put that much effort into something." A draconian sitting on the dock says flatly, idly forming short-lived ice bubbles that rise into the air before melting back into the water.
"Well... I forgot there were two crews helping me clean the house." Kiin sighs.
She links telepathically with Katie.
"Seriously, though, where was the living room? I really can't remember."
