"And honestly, I don't think a dragon itself would have a banner. Probably a symbol for a city or town."

 

Arkclal holds out a tiny, razor sharp claw.
“Well... permitting you to join me might hurt a litle.” He offers.


“Lady Gaia gave me a second chance at life recently, and I was wondering if you knew of a swamp I might be able to inhabit while I search for old acquaintances?”

Avis looks towards Linoa and cooes.
“No, I don’t think he’s going away right now.”
Avis tilts her head in response.
“Oh, don’t give me that.”
Avis grunts, tail sweeping back and forth as she turns back to Crystal.


In terms of this room, yes.
You really didn’t leave a whole lot of door left, though.

If it’s dragon related, sounds like a question for Rema. Then again, most questions are for her. I sort of wish she’d just sit down and tell us everything.

 

"Yeah, it would save so much time if she just explained.. like everything. I always feel like we're just bothering her with all these questions, so it would help me too if she just told everything."

 

I take the claw, though I hesitate for a second before doing so.


The water guardian thinks for a while.

"I think there's a swamp west of here, it's a bit of a journey though. There's a river that leads into the ocean from it. If you find that, you can just follow it up." The water guardian explains.

 

Crystal cooes back at Avis.


I try exploring a bit more, making my way through the doors.

 

As you touch it, it draws a tiny bit of your blood before one of your eyes dilates.

You see yourself leave the diner with the other two, Arkclal gesturing for you to take the lead towards the supposed source of transit.


Fenira nods.
“Thank you very much.”
As she starts to head off, she hesitates.
“Um... you wouldn’t happen to know of a Miss Katie or Captain Aquira, would you?”

Avis snorts back and hops up a few floors, disappearing from sight.

“Avis, don- well... maybe we can try again tomorrow?” Linoa offers, sighing.


Heading back through the door returns you to the basement which is now a book-fueled inferno. The two padlocked doors are still accessible, but parts of the ceiling have already collapsed.

We should make her tell us everything somehow. I don’t want to be mean, though, since I guess she really is family...

 

I attempt to move in the vision.


"Not personally, but I've heard the names." The water guardian says.

 

You act in the vision as easily as you do normally; everything seems as you’d expect it to.


“I was hoping to meet with them, I heard that my late friend’s granddaughter lives with them. One thing at a time, though. Thanks again.” Fenira nods, heading off along the shoreline.

 

“I guess...”
Crystal says, dejected.


I hurry over to the padlocked doors to open them, keeping an eye on what’s above me so I don’t get hit by falling rubble.

 

I head eastward through the city, eventually arriving at some stables with large, horse-like beasts; though much more dangerous looking. A young female Shadow seems to be feeding them from a bucket containing something red.


The ocean waves topple over each other as they reach toward Fenira, only to be dragged back into the ocean and be overlapped by another wave. The sand is warm, but not hot, and quite dense.

 

"Yeah, don't want to put too much pressure on her."

 

“If it makes you feel any better, she does that to everyone too.”


Having already activated your energy whip thing, the locks disintegrate as your hand draws near.

The vision fades before your senses are back at the bar.
“It would appear you are not mistaken.”


She keeps mostly submerged, though she comes up above the shoreline to doze off for a few hours.

Hey... I know you’re the brains, but what if we asked Rema about the flag tonight, then went and got Anne to press her to answer more questions in the morning? I still feel bad about trying to leave her in the swamp...

 

"That was...something." I say, a little disoriented. I take another sip of my drink.


Once Fenira wakes up, the air is cold; sun setting. The sand retains it's warmth, though it seems to be fading over time. The ocean appears to be liquid gold as the sun sends the last steaks of it's sunlight across it's surface; Fenira's destination looking rather dark.

 

"Well, yeah, but...

...nevermind."


I open the door, now being more cautious of the whip.

 

"What do you want to ask Anne?"

 

“I hope you can forgive me for that. I don’t usually take others into the sight.” Arkclal says, seeming a bit uneasy.


Fenira closes her eyes on two of her heads, continuing along the coast in hopes of finding the river.

She’s part kitsune, I bet she can get Rema to talk.

“I’m sorry. I know it’s frustrating.”


You find a security guard standing in front of a group of terrified younger naga, holding what seems to be an electrified spear pointed at your chest. The room looks to be a janitorial closet.
“Don’t do this.” They say, eyes seeming hopeless. “Please don’t do this to them.”

 

"I don't know if I would want to use Anne to let Rema talk. I can probably convince her myself."

 

You are the brains... Yeah, you’re right, I think you got this. When do you want to head over there?

 

"I can't say I haven't dabbled in such ability, but it's strange for it to be so...stable." I say, seeming a little lost.


The coast eventually ends at a cliff, the face of which sharp and steep. It seems quite impossible to climb, at least with ease.

 

“It is all I can do. I had an affinity for seeing, and I believed that I could make my way in life with only it. I respect those who are extremely skilled in many things, but I am happy with the little I have. Never have I wished to learn any other magic, no matter how beneficial it may be to me.” He says quietly.
“Though, again, I apologize. I do not usually take others with me.”



Fenira walks back a bit and tries to fly over.
