Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I hope you will remember everything when that happens."

 

Crystal tries to suck in the tether anyways.

 

Katie smiles back, seeming a little more confident with Ihra's reassurance.

 

Katie's voidling companion skitters back onto her shoulder once she enters the Void, Ihra seeming to have warped them back to where Katie last was.

He can't - it acts as if it's not actually there.

I can barely remember anything now, so... that's kinda an issue.

"Hey, found one." Anne calls from... you can't really tell where.

 

"Where?!"

 

Disappointed, Crystal continues following.

 

Katie looks around, glancing at her companion.

 

It waves with its tiny claw.
“Where was that? The bright pl-ace?"

The fog eventually winds up making the tether the only thing Crystal can see, aside from silhouettes of his companions if he draws close to them.

"Oh, uh..."
Anne pokes her head from behind a small group of trees a few paces ahead of you.
"This way."

 

"Ah."

I'll walk up to her.
"What do you got?"

 

Katie nods.

"We're back in the void now." Katie says, using a smile to mask her fear.

 

Crystal stays close to Linoa despite the tether.

 

“No, the bright san-dy pl-ace? Where was that?”

Ihra glances over.
“Oh, it can talk?”

“I think you’ll fit.” Anne says, leading you to a den about the same size as the one you sometimes slept in with your pack.

“How much farther?” Linoa asks.
“About a third of the way there.”

 

Crystal is visibly uncomfortable as he looks around.

 

"I'll see."

What is it made of? The den?

 

"That was Earth, my home!" Katie explains happily.

"This is Ihra." Katie adds, gesturing to Ihra.

 

“She loo-ks dif-fer-ent...” It says quietly.
Ihra waves, a bit confused.

It’s a packed-earth hole lined with moss.

He can’t see anything.
“How much longer until visibility improves?”
“A few more minutes, albeit the fog should stay around for most of the walk.”

 

"She's not a guardian." Katie explains, smiling.

 

"It's.. well made. I assume it is warm inside."

 

Crystal inaudibly grumbles as he continues along.

 

“She has more wi-ngs.”

After said few minutes, Crystal is able to see barely past Shack and Linoa, though Puddles seems to have drifted off. Her lock jaw keeps holding the chain.

“I’ve never slept in there, so I don’t know for sure.” Anne shrugs.
