"Huh? Oh, no. I'm an only child. Besides, I spent most of my childhood training and exploring, so there wasn't lots of room to make friends anyways."

 

"I know your past. You were a captain; you had a similar moment when everything in your fort was running smoothly. Even more so; that day you were given your blade made of ice. The day that entity met you. Everyone has those moments, it just isn't always the same."

 

"Indeed. Well, so far as I'm concerned, that sword is either hidden or missing. Eh, it's not like I can use it while I'm a flower anyways."

 

"Let's just say I took the liberty to... see it kept safely in your fortress."

 

"Huh, so that's where it went. Well, when I'm going to get a new body, I'll just retrieve it there. Also, do you know what happened to my hat?"

 

"Also held in your fortress."

 

"Huh. Well, that's good. At least I can look ridiculous when I get the new body. How about the spear? Or do I have to make it again? It was a pain making that. I'm pretty sure I messed up how to do it anyways."

 

"Your belongings are in your fortress. That ought to save you a few other questions and me my sanity."

 

"Well, you're already using wrong grammar. I guess telling people where their stuff are actually does something to someone's mind."

 

"I don't know if that's supposed to be ironic or not, but I don't find it amusing either way."

 

"Alright then."

 

I decide to leave him alone and keep an eye on him.

 

"I'm a bit more than just a robot... hehehe..."
Arnold flies higher and blasts three energy bolts in the direction of Virei'tus' energy bolts. He then unsheathes his sword-mace.

 

"I-I don't get it though! I-It's the r-remains of a m-mindless e-entity!" Artemis says, still shaken.

"Do you want to hide out with Katie, or do you want to stay here?" I ask.

"N-No, I'll be f-fine." Artemis says, albeit still hugging me.

 

Arnold's energy bolts are absorbed; Virei'tus' fly faster.
"That has yet to be proven."

"It's clearly not mindless. Still, we've got an impending task at hand."

 

Artemis seems to calm down a bit, and pulls away from me.

"Thanks, Aj." Artemis says, wiping the tears from her face.

Seeing Artemis safe, I turn back into my previous larger form.

"Man, switching between these two forms really takes it out of you..." I comment, unsheathing Shadow Katana.

Artemis draws her bow and a few arrows.

A ring of crystals now spins around Stephanie, their glow making an aura of sorts around her.

Abigail seems to have gotten back to her senses, and hovers above the ground; claws extended.

 

"Back to defending, I see?"

 

"No, actually. I'm trying to see if I can build a rocket ship to the moon with the power of my imagination." I say sarcastically.

 

"You haven't seen anything yet." Virei'tus mutters.
A thin fog approaches. It's normal, but it adds to the mood.

"I'd like to see you legitimately try. Maybe after this is over?"

 

"If you believe in something hard enough, and think just enough, there's a chance it'll appear." I say, putting my hands to my head and focusing.

I seem to really strain my mind, before a firework appears at my feet.

"Ta da!" I say, picking up the firework. It seems relatively tiny in my large hand.
