Ihra seems surprised, then looks down.
“...Please tell me that ‘fear’ is too strong of an implication?” She asks, looking guilty.

I still miss the pack. We should go back after the wedding.

 

"Well, even Temporus has moderate concern about a possible hive master invasion. You share his reality." Praecantatia says.

 

“Just because Iris is my... much less cooperative half... doesn’t mean I’m mind controlled.” Ihra mumbles, offended but still feeling guilty.

 

"Yeah. We should really check on them."

 

"There are a lot of uncertainties about you, is what I'm trying to say. We don't know what you're capable of, and as gods of this reality, we're concerned about what you may do." Praecantatia says.

 

Ihra nods, sighing.
“I wish I knew that before I let it be known I thought Gaia turned her back on me... though I guess I should be used to no second chances by now.”

It’ll be hard to find the dens through the ash, but it might be cleaned up a bit by the time we get back.

 

"She hasn't responded to any telepathic communications recently. You really hurt her." Praecantatia says, seeming to be speaking as a friend rather than a goddess.

 

“How am I supposed to try and make it up to her if she’s...”
Pause.
“What does she like as a gift?”

 

Praecantatia thinks for a while.

"Honesty, kindness and good will." Praecantatia says.

 

“That’s really hard to give without being able to reach out to her...” Ihra mumbles, thinking.

 

"If you wish, I could contact Caelia and ask her to take you to Gaia." Praecantatia offers.

 

“I doubt the goddess who wanted to torment me most would be willing to help me.” Ihra says, hesitant.

 

Praecantatia looks confused.

"She didn't want to torment you." Praecantatia says.

 

“I thought you said she wanted to let me rot.” Ihra says, uneasy.

 

"She wanted to keep you away from us. Mortius killed you before your clone expired." Praecantatia clarifies.

 

“If she wants to keep me away from everyone, why would she help me get to Gaia?”

 

"Hope for the best."

 

"She wanted to keep you away from us when she thought you were going to attack us." Praecantatia explains.

 

“If you think she won’t leave me to rot somewhere again, then sure...” Ihra says, nervous.
