Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

It's already faded a bit.
A wisp is nearby, though.
"Oh, you again. I thought I threw you at a wall."

It takes her a while to calm down.
"I'm sorry... I just... I don't... ehhhhhhhhhhhh"

 

"I'm getting some bad feelings, Nyre should be here, or at least arriving here, by now. Since he's not here...or alive, that means that something else is coming." I say, sceptical of my surroundings.

"I think we're safe with Virei'tus around. You can take up the defensive if something happens with him." Katie says, before walking over to Virei'tus.

"Hey, Virei'tus, is everything alright?" Katie asks sweetly.

"Everything's going to be alright, Ihra. Nobodies forcing you to do anything." Stephanie says happily.

 

"It takes a little more than a wall to stop me."
Arnold starts hovering. His left arm attachment starts glowing green. His right arm attachment starts tapping the handle of the sword-mace.

 

I start sweating a bit.
I wipe the goo of my finger and onto the ground.
I take a step towards Artemis.
"Artemis... I need you to do a favor for me... and pin me to the ground."

 

"Thanks, guys..."
"Katie, get Ihra and Ragnyon hidden. One of them's near my weapon. I'll see if I can crack him before the main force comes."

"I'm surprised you got up so quickly. You're a robot. Let's see what else you have to say."
The wisp starts glowing more intensely, and a few energy bolts home in at Arnold.

 

"Uh...where is this going? I'm not going to play to your weird fantasies." Artemis says, confused.

"NOT YOU, YOU IDIOT. THE GIRL. PIN THE GIRL TO THE GROUND AND FORCE HER TO EAT THE GREY GOO."

The urge becomes a little stronger.

"Wh-what!?" Katie says shocked. She gives me a panicked look, and I immediately grow to ten times my size (again).

Katie runs over and grabs Ihra, "Ihra, we need to go! Some people are coming for us and I need to get you and Ragnyon hidden!" Katie says hastily.

A hand of water slaps Abigail awake.

"Bwuh!? What's happening?" Abigail asks, confused.

"No time! People coming!" Katie says.

Abigail notices me at my larger sizes, and jumps up.

 

Sgavrinn drops Ragnyon directly into the pool. Turns out she's an adept swimmer.

Ihra's caught off guard by Katie, but turns out to be rather easy to drag along.

"Come on, Thirteen. Now's a fine time to play with your new toy."

Virei'tus hovers just above you.

 

"With vines, Artemis, WITH VINES!"
I collapse to my knees, grabbing the ground.
"I'M NOT SUCCUMBING TO YOUR SHIT!"
I yell.
"Whatever you do, Artemis, do not let me touch you."

"I can't right now. Gray goo's doing some weird shit."

 

"Well isn't this familiar. I guess the tables have turned, though," I say to Virei'tus, unsheathing Shadow Katana, "Or...friendships. Wait, let me start over."

Katie jumps into her pool with Ihra, and the water drags Katie, Ihra and Ragnyon down through the tunnels.

Stephanie starts preparing some of her crystals.

A few vines start to wrap around your limbs.

"Thirteen...what's wrong...you're scaring me..." Artemis says, backing away out of fear.

"Oh but you will. You know you want to grab her and pin her to the ground, and force feed her that grey goo."

The grey goo comes together, close to your hands.

"Take the grey goo. Pin the girl to the ground. Then SHOVE IT DOWN HER THROAT. DO NOT LISTEN TO HER CRIES. SHOVE IT DOWN HER THROAT NO MATTER WHAT."

 

"Round two, eh? Well, I can't say I don't know what you're capable of."

"Then shoot it. Or I'll disintegrate it for you."

 

"No, I mean...UGGHHH." I say, annoyed, "I'm trying to say that this is like the first time we met, but we're friends now."

 

"I knew what you meant, but we were already friends. Mostly."

 

"I've never met you before this point. Are you just that trusting of people?" I ask.

 

"Who am I? What is in a name? You met me, you worked with me, and I trusted you. What is a name, and what is a body? You remember Vesius, Riihs, Tirai. I am all of them."

The grey goo gets smited.

 

"I am too!"

"PLEASE do so!"

 

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!??" I say, my mind metaphorically blown.

Artemis trips over as she backs away, falling to the ground. She tries her best to scramble away, backwards.

A large portion of the grey goo gets removed.

Apart from a handful of it.

"TAKE WHAT'S LEFT AND SHOVE IT DOWN HER THROAT. SHE'S ALREADY ON THE GROUND, PIN HER DOWN."

The urge is extremely powerful now.

 

"They are Fragments of me, pieces of my power and soul. Their ascension woke me from my rest, just as the others had done to my sister."

 

I'm sweating immensely now.
I grab the rest of the goo.
I try crawling across the ground.
I realize that the vines are limiting my mobility.

 

"So, what does that make Ihra? She seems capable of this 'Ascension'." I ask.

The vines snap as soon as they meet resistance.

"Thirteen...what are you doing?" Artemis asks, terrified. A few tears roll down her face.

"GOOD. IGNORE THE GIRL'S CRIES, FORCE THE GOO DOWN HER THROAT NO MATTER WHAT SHE SAYS."

There's no fighting the urge anymore. It's taken almost complete control.

 

I say nothing, get up, and charge at Artemis.
