Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra hesitates before her eyes begin to have a tinge of red.
"You mean... I left the battlefield and let hundreds die because you made up a more dire scenario?!" She asks, clearly angry.

 

The gods exchange looks between each other.

"T-There's no need to get angry, Ihra." Gaia says.

"It was a simple test to see if you all of you were truly capable of fighting the Hive Master. We cannot take the safety of our reality lightly, and if you weren't able to take down Lux, you wouldn't be able to stand up to him." Temporus explains.

 

"We've taken down gods before, we've only grown stronger since, yet you draw me away from the suffering to play your games?" She roars, getting angrier. "Besides, I thought it was an accident that you planted some Karmic Seed into me... don't tell me that was part of this too!" Ihra shouts, glaring at Gaia with distrust. "You all may have more than one shot to fix things when they go wrong, but we don't always have that luxury!"

 

"I want to see what happened. Maybe the centaurs are back?"

 

The guard might be there too. That'd be just as good, right?

 

"That's enough." Caelia says, grabbing Ihra telkinetically and lifting her away from everyone else.

"If you do not appreciate the work we put into your testing, perhaps you are not worthy of it." Mortius says in Ihra's mind. His words seem to make Ihra feel weaker, and scared. However, at the same time, he seems to be shielding Shadow Stephanie.

Gaia seems hurt by Ihra's words, before turning her back on her. Tenebrae simply shakes her head, disappointed.

"We meant no harm in your testing, we simply wished to evaluate how capable you were." Praecantatia says, sounding annoyed.

"Perhaps you should consider your allies, too." Caelia says, turning Ihra to face Artemis, Stephanie and I. Stephanie holds a much larger shield in front of herself, Artemis and I. I seem to be protecting a rather scared looking Artemis.

 

Ihra's glare turns into a sigh as her eyes go back to normal.
"I'm sorry I dragged you all from your training for this. I should've gone at it alone."

 

"I-It's fine, we had no idea either." I say.

"I wouldn't have brought you here if I knew." Stephanie says apologetically.

 

Ihra tries to approach you, then realizes she's suspended by Caelia.
"Uh... I'd offer a hug to try and make up for it, but..." She says nervously.

 

Caelia glares at Ihra, distrusting.

"I think it's best you spend some time to calm down." Caelia says, opening a portal behind Ihra.

 

"I need to figure out what to do with that many broken families, anyways." Ihra shrugs, trying to go through.

 

"Yeah, they might know something."

 

Well, I don't remember the way, so I hope you do.

 

"There were signs, right?"

I'll head towards where the bakery was.
"We came in here.. from somewhere."

 

Ihra's thrown into a padded cell, with no apparent exits. It feels comfortable, yet isolated.

 

“Oh, okay!”
Crystal pauses and looks to Linoa.

 

Ihra sighs, sitting down and crying herself to sleep.

She shrugs.
“Sure, I guess. I thought you might be the person who made all these things, but I guess not.”
“Nah, Tinker hasn’t shown up since he brought the last group of his experiments here.”
“Tinker?”
“Just what we call him.”

From the distance, you see the church sign, but guards seem to be standing watch in the alley.

 

Once Ihra wakes up again, she seems to be somewhere dark. However, as her eyes adjust, she seems to be in a plant-based bedroom. Light shines from under the door and partly through the curtains. Ihra doesn't feel as trapped as she did before.

 

She buries her face in her hands, letting out something between an annoyed shout and pained howl.

 

"What's he look like?"
