Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis and I follow suit, and the machines close. Ihra blacks out almost immediately.

When Ihra wakes up, she feels different. The machines open again, but this time, Ihra's on the opposite side of the room. Strangely, Ihra's still asleep in the machine she got into, but she's also awake in what seems to be a new body.

"Consider that an extra life. If Lux kills you, you'll wake up in your original body. He's become much stronger than we thought, I'll have to dedicate all my power to keeping him contained while you fight him." Praecantatia says worriedly.

 

“We’ve all been busy. We’re ready.” Ihra says, staff crystal beginning to glow.

 

"One more thing, you'll have some assistance." Praecantatia says, gesturing towards the door.

An armoured knight steps in, along with Shadow Stephanie.

"You thought I'd give up the chance to beat up a god?" Shadow Stephanie asks, winking, "Can't let Aj have all the fun."

"Good to see you, Stephanie." I say to Shadow Stephanie, smiling.

 

Ihra seems to prepare a few spells in the meantime, determined.

"That'll teach ya!"

 

Praecantatia's house suddenly shakes, and she disappears.

"Go!" Praecantatia's voice echoes.

The knight signals for the group to follow her, running out of the room with Shadow Stephanie in tow. Artemis and I hurry out the room after them.

 

Ihra levitates after them, perception speed spells cast on her allies as she prepares a barrier.

“Screw you!” He calls back, though he gets taken into an alley by a guard.

 

The group is lead through the living, where the girl Ihra saw before seems rather terrified; knees to her chest. The knight leads the group to the front door, swinging it open to reveal Lux blasting Praecantatia with a beam of bright white light. Praecantatia shields against it, but the ground around her is set aflame.

 

Ihra puts up a barrier around the girl, seeming to gain immense strength from Lux’s light attack.
“Aj, Shadow Stephanie... if things get messy, forgive me for what I’ll do.” Ihra says telepathically.

 

"Don't follow the criminal path kid. You're lucky she didn't take away one of your manly parts!"

 

A few people eating outside laugh.

“About that...” Arga chuckles.

 

"Wait... did you?"

 

“He won’t be having much of a love life.”

 

"Okay.. that's a bit harsh."

 

“Where’s she?”

 

The chimera's tail-head peeks out and waves, offering a festering smile.

"I could've killed him, you know."

 

"Hello!"
He waves.
"I'm Crystal!"

 

"What are you going to do?" I respond, skeptical.
