Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra turns around, looking for you again.

 

I'm waiting nearby, looking Shadow Katana over.

 

She approaches you again.
“Do you have a fast way to Earth from here?”

 

"Not from here, but I have a way back to the palace." I say, before whistling quite loudly.

A familiar, gigantic wolf bounds around the mountain toward me, sitting down when it reaches Ihra and me.

 

Ihra smiles, mood shifting to her usual lightheartedness.
“That definitely works.”

 

I jump up onto the wolf's back - temporarily creating wings to help - and motion for Ihra to get on.

 

Ihra leaps on as well, almost overshooting with her staff in hand.

 

The wolf stands up and begins running away from the mountain at an incredibly fast pace. Wind blasts past Ihra as the wolf runs, passing by the kingdom she saw in the distance in a matter of minutes.

 

"Gonna do any more then this? He already looks pretty beat."

 

Ihra seems amused by the ride, glancing at you once near the palace.
“How long do you think training will take?”
“Mmm... I suppose this is enough

for a first timer.” She nods.

 

"Question; now that you took away his hand, won't it start bleeding when he turns back to normal?"

 

"Somewhere between six months to a year, I'd say." I say, the wolf jumping over the palace gates and running into the palace. I grab Ihra and jump off, the wolf continuing through the palace; knocking away anyone unlucky enough to be in it's path.

 

Ihra follows, levitating alongside you.
"Well, shoot. That sort of complicates things with Emerald gone. Promise me you won't overdo it, okay?"

"Nope. Unpetrification attempts to outline the body with skin, so cutting off his hand will just leave him with a stump. And most of whatever bone happened to be there."

 

"Hmm. Well that will learn him."

"Say.. can I ask you something?"

 

"I'll be fine. It only took me a few years last time, and I only almost died like...ten times." I say, heading over to an elevator.

 

Crystal turns to the shack as well, righting his eyes back to the front of his head.
“I wonder what’s in there?”

 

"Sure." Arga says, starting to pick up the bits of stone off the floor.

"Unless you have other ideas, we're about to find out." Linoa says, only just seeming to notice the cat-thing.

"Try not to become dust, at least?"

 

"That wouldn't happen. There's been precisely zero deaths from people training there. As for the way there, well..." I trial off, turning the dials in the elevator.

 

“I’m well aware... it doesn’t sit right with me, but this is not my place to speak. The rites don’t sit well with me, but those are a deep-seated tradition.”

 

"It's to filter the strong from the weak. If you can't overcome some basic physical and mental challenges, you're unfit for the kind of training you'll receive." I say, teleporting Ihra and I to the portal room.

I head over to the computer, but instead summon a key and kneel down to the base of it; unlocking a hidden door and reaching inside.
