Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra seems to be faced with a solid, flat wall leading up to a high ledge above. There are no handholds to climb up, and the slope of the path seems to imply that if you fail you'll slide off to your death.

 

She grips the crystal she was gifted before gently pressing against the wall with one claw.

 

The wall continues to stand tall and flat. It's surface feels cold.

 

She tries gently scratching at it, seeing if she can make any holds.

 

The wall seems to be completely solid, scratches not even registering on it's surface.

 

Ihra looks for another way, a bit confused.

 

There doesn't seem to be any other way, not unless she wants to try and find a way up as a spirit.

 

She looks at how much of a platform she's on, seeming annoyed but keeping her wings stiffly folded.

 

The path leading up to the wall seems long enough and wide enough for a strong run up. A few markings on it seem to imply running up to the wall head-on.

 

Ihra smiles.
“Ah, it’s like the trick I showed mother when I had a home...” She mumbles before stepping back towards the ledge then charging with everything she has up the wall, still refusing to use her wings.

 

The wall remains stoic as ever, facing Ihra with grim silence.

 

“Of course this wasn’t designed for draconians...” She sighs, giving a wall run another attempt after a minute to shake off a bit of the pain.

 

Ihra manages to run up part of the wall this time, getting almost halfway before sliding down.

 

She sits down to catch her breath.
“Come on, Ihra... you’ve stood up to gods... a mountain isn’t gonna keep you stuck here...” She mumbles to herself as she tries to stretch a bit.

 

The wind howls by, the view from the high vantage point not a bad one.

 

Ihra looks at the view, curious to see if she sees any landmarks she recognizes.

 

She can see a large town in the distance, surrounded by walls like any other. It contains a much smaller palace to the one she's used to, but appears to be a kingdom nonetheless.

 

“Funny how someone so alien can feel so at home in a fairly hostile realm.” Ihra chuckles, picking herself back up for another run.

“I made it halfway, I can make it all the way.” She thinks. “

 

Ihra seems to think right, getting within grabbing distance of the ledge on her next try.

 

Ihra tries to grip the ledge, a rush of excitement giving her a slight second wind.
