Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She takes a small drink.
“Aj, you’re lucky you gave me all this stuff...” She thinks.

“Being a werewolf is cooler, though. And you’re stronger than I am.”

 

The water tastes clean, and seems to refresh Ihra's energy and spirit.

 

She drinks one small bit more before stretching a bit and eyeballing a more exact route up.

 

There only seems to be one path, unless Ihra wants to face a near impossible and highly dangerous climb.

 

She checks to see if it's possible to tell if one path is false.

 

There are no false paths, though Ihra feels a little renewed for checking.

 

"Huh..."
Ihra glances at the necklace she was gifted.
"You know, if I had someone with me, I'd tell them that there's almost always some catch with split paths. I can't even send a clone the other way to see it all..." She says, intending it to just be for herself. "I wish I'd be allowed back here. I think this is what mother meant about grim beauty..." She mutters as she looks at the view for a minute, then turns back around to see if the harder path is shorter or simply harder.

 

In comparison to the near-impossible, yet direct, climb up the mountain, it's a little easier. Something seems to urge Ihra to take it.

 

Crystal walks around and looks for someone.

 

Ihra spends another minute glancing at both before starting on the longer path with a smile.

The only people not actively working on something are a dryad who's counting bows, a kobold who seems to be taking a break, and a fae who's half-asleep on a pile of small rags.

 

Ihra's soon faced with a tiny ledge barely half the size of her foot, which seems to stretch for a good few meters across a spiky slope down. A few skeletons mark the danger of it, spikes piercing their skulls or entire bodies. It's too far to jump, but Ihra can just make out some markings where someone's held on before.

 

She tries to follow the markings across, albeit not perfectly.

 

Part of the ledge collapses as Ihra walks across, making her fall to a near certain death. However, something in Ihra makes her grab the ledge, allowing her to crawl across; though the strain is immense.

 

Her eyes burn with determination, the strain seeming to fuel her will to press on as she attempts to crawl the rest of the way.

 

The ledge crumbles in a few parts that Ihra passes, though once she reaches the other side and climbs up, her arms feel like they're incapable of doing anything else for a long while. Turning back seems like an impossibility now.

 

She takes a breath and looks at where the ledge crumbled with slight unease.

 

The ledge seems to have crumbled at the start, a few places in the middle, and near the very end. It seems whoever comes after Ihra is going to have a much harder challenge.

 

Ihra shakes out her arms a bit before chuckling and looking down at how many skeletons there are in the pit.

 

Ihra can see about five skeletons, though there's many more shattered crystals.

 

"A trial where all are put on an equal field..." She mutters before looking at what she needs to overcome next.
