Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie seems to calm down completely.

"So why was there all the concern about her exploring the void's edge if it's just a fake version?" Katie asks, confused.

 

"She can only have one main body, and if it's out in the Void's edge then most of the magic she maintains in the palace just vanishes."

 

"So...she's really gone?" Katie asks, starting to panic again.

 

"She's not here at the moment, no, but if anything happens she'll just be right back here."

 

"But...I thought the edge of the void was really far away, and prevented teleportation?" Katie asks.

 

"She has a soulcore... it permits rebirth should she let herself die."

 

"Oh..." Katie says, suddenly turning red in embarrassment as she begins to understand.

 

Xlentia glances at Rineth.
"Is it normal for her to look like she's going to randomly fall over all the time?"
"I think you know the answer to that."
"Should I get her medical help?"
"She's fine."
"You just said that it's not normal..."
"That doesn't imply there's something wrong with her."

 

Katie just looks more embarrassed as she's talked about, creating another glass of water to sip before she just collapses onto the ice pillar, lying on it and facing away from Rineth and Xlentia to hide her embarrassment.

 

"I told you she looked like she was going to fall over."
"Katie, relax."

 

Katie just covers her face with her hands, putting the ice-glass down beside her beforehand.

 

Xlentia sits down, eyeing over Katie as Rineth gently pats Katie's shoulder.
"Well, I need to go get the other half of my body back in one piece. Don't worry about being confused, not everyone's Emerald."

 

"Do you want me to come and help?" Katie asks, trying to distract herself.

 

“They’re a good breed. A nice classic, in my eyes.”

 

"I'd rather you not get sick, so... no. It's best you don't."

"I'm a bit of a sucker for originality, but sometimes things get popular for a reason." Serra shrugs.
Celfer glances at the dogs as they wrestle for a frisbee, whereas Noyt glances at you.
"Did you name them yet?" They ask.

 

"Buddy."
I nod.
"And yours?"

 

"Lune."
"Soul."

"The common tongue name for mine is Felsus, he just never responds to it."

 

"Ok..." Katie says, quite unsure what to do.

 

"Great. That puts me on alert even more."

 

I chuckle a bit, continuing to watch the dogs.
