Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Is it like the null? Stephanie told me about that. She said it's a place of nothing, where dead spirits go." Katie asks.


The ground begins to shake a bit.

"Well, sounds like you deserve it if you're stupid enough to fall into his game. Tell me, how many have I been responsible for?" Abigail asks with a smile.

 

“There aren’t even spirits there.”


“You personally? Two, so far.”
Crystalline spikes start growing out of the dragon’s scales, directly correlating with the strength of the tremors.

 

"Yeah, it's for things that no longer exist." Katie says happily.


The air seems to get hotter.

"Did I kill you in a past life then, and you have some fetish for it and wanted to come back and see me again so you could get your dragon dick off to me killing you?" Abigail asks, smirking, "Sorry, but I'm not a dominatrix. You'll have to find someone else to fulfill your sick fantasies, perv."

 

I sit next to the dog and starting giving it attention.

 

“Perhaps it was the null, I don’t know for sure.”


The dragon chuckles.
“Ah, an active imagination to go with a perverted mind... I suppose I could leave you with the child for a while longer. Listen well, prostitute; you are nothing on your own, ever the damsel in distress. When your friends get sick of saving you, I’ll leave your remains in the rain.”
A portal opens behind the dragon.
“I am general Chroma, and it was a pleasure meeting you... perhaps next time we meet, you’ll have worked up the courage to spar with more than mere words.”

It readjusts its position on the couch, resting its head on your lap as its tail wags off the armrest.

 

"What did it feel like there?" Katie asks.


Suddenly, the volcano erupts, magma forcing Chroma out of it if he doesn't get through the portal, otherwise filling the other side until it closes.

 

I pat it, then rub its side.

 

“Weightless, timeless, yet flowing. It corresponds to places between realms, though it’s a bit more volatile than the Void.”


The rushing magma seems to only empower Chroma’s crystal spikes, his silhouette visible as he casually walks through the portal whilst holding back nearly all of the magma from flooding in.
“Heheheh... too weak to even play a dominatrix...”

It stretches out and rolls over partway to reveal its belly.

 

"Weird. Maybe that is the null?" Katie says, thinking.


There's a sudden jolt of magic that snaps Chroma's portal shut and stuns him. It seems to linger, preventing it from being opened again.

 

“I’d have to ask one of your gods.”


Chroma, already back to Atavul’s domain, smiles as his crystal growths retract. He simply idles on the rock for a few minutes before flying off.

 

"Maybe you could ask Tenebrae? You were already going to ask her about trapping you, weren't you?" Katie asks.

 

I relax and continue scratching it on its belly.

 

"Yes, though I presume she's occupied with Aj for the moment."

The dog permits this for about five minutes before getting up and trotting over to the door.

 

"What is she and Aj doing?" Katie asks, confused.

 

"I believe Aj went to ask her something... but then again, that was a week ago."

 

I follow him, seeing what he does.

 

"Oh no, you don't think something bad happened to him, do you?" Katie asks, scared.

 

Bardock looks at Rema and shrugs.
He mouths to her; "Am. I. Missing. Something?"

 

"Tenebrae would have to be hard pressed to let something that critical happen in times like these."

Rema nods.
"So, uh... Bardock... bow to Diana. Please. Now." She utters.
"No, no need."
Diana stops fading and quickly appears to be a stronger, brighter spirit in the form of a supermassive gryphon.
"I-I... didn't mean to summon you, please have mercy on me great lady of the stars..." Rema begs.
"I came on my own volition. Now, before you freak out your family, I suppose I'll introduce myself properly. Diana is my mortal body, but my name is Idhaenna. I am the high goddess of the skies, stars, and spirits. If you'd stop overreacting, I might answer a few questions."
"O-of course, lady Idhaenna."
Idhaenna rolls her spectral eyes.
"Would you just relax?"
Rema doesn't respond.

He sits down in front of the front door, tail wagging.
There seems to be an extendable leash hanging from a coat rack nearby.

 

"A goddess?"

"Well.. that's a first time." He mutters.
