Artemis nods, before we head inside.

Rineth hears a whistle, before he can see Katie running towards him from the end of the gardens, smiling.

 

I rear up and punch the dummy in the chest.

 

I'm joking... that was a terrible joke, wasn't it.

"You sure? You seem a bit on edge."

It practically liquefies in front of your fist.
"Oh, right... shock plates on your knuckles. Doubles the force of impact, and if it's a fleshbeing target, also attempts to electrocute the remains."

Rineth turns, nodding to Katie before stepping towards her.
"You appear well too. I'm sorry about what happened to your parents."

 

Yeah, it was.

"Just some mental issues."

 

"Aw, thanks Rineth. They're fine now though! They're back on the seas in a new ship!" Katie says happily, her mood bright as the sun.

 

“Good to know.”
If the other dummy is reformed, I try to use the orb to whip it, seeing the damage.

 

The energy whip winds up cutting clean through, though it seems to cauterize the cut-in-two wound.

"Still won't let you or your sister on board, I take it." He smiles.

In all seriousness, though...

"Still not quite used to your second half?" Rema smirks.

 

I advance closer, power-thrusting the orb into the rest of the dummy to document damage.

 

"Yeah, still too dangerous," Katie chuckles, "What have you been doing?"

 

"Just my job. Courier work isn't easy, especially when you lose feeling in both wings and a leg. Without Emerald, I've been working just about nonstop."

The whip winds up lashing out several feet through the remains, the half of the dummy hit spinning aimlessly as it disintegrates itself against the beam.

 

“...What about structures?”
I ask, backing up a bit.
“Do you have anything similar to that strength?”

 

"The solid armor preset uses light civilian grade alloy strength which is much stronger than any normal armor, hold draconian metalwoven robes."

 

“That works.”

 

"Try not to punch it again." The bug says, hitting a few more keys before the dummies both reset.

 

"Oh no, do you need help?" Katie asks, seeming extremely concerned.

 

"Nothing urgent. I planned to take a visit to the medical wing shortly, anyways." He shrugs.

 

"I can come with you if you want." Katie offers.

 

“Naturally.”
I spin, hitting it with the whip.

 

"It's.. something."
