Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Fenira looks towards Theombra.
“I was expected to die, made ageless only to suffer.” She says, still weary. “Besides... who wants a stonegazer running around in their realm? That’s why I was banished to the Void in the first place, I think.”

 

Theombra screams in pain as Eve crushes his wrist, seeming to have attempted to punch her.


"Save your strength, you'll find a purpose yet." I say, trying to be positive.

 

“Your comment makes more sense now.”

 

She sighs, then nods.
“...There is one more thing I have done, to warn you about. Long ago, a group of zealots used me as an example, a reason to attempt to defy the gods. I have not heard from any of that so called Fenira Exegesis, but they’re just as much of a beast as those out here. I fear they may be contributing to the cause of your foe.”

“I’ve learned not to lead with how many pieces someone’s getting split into.”

 

I seem surprised, before splitting into two. One self empowers Fenira, while the other picks her up.

"Eve, time to go. Time is short." I say.

Eve nods, dropping Theombra on the ground and throwing his axe next to him, who seems completely terrified. She dashes over to me and takes Fenira, before taking flight. I join her, and the pair of us return to the Shadow Palace.

 

Fenira unpetrifies Theombra’s beast as she’s flown away, seeming uneasy with the flight.

 

Eve keeps a good hold of Fenira, and she doubles her speed after a second. Fenira can see Theombra get back on to his beast and ride away once he sees it unpetrified.

 

I chuckle.
“Fair.”

 

Fenira blacks out once Eve gets up to speed.

“Anyhow, now you know. Also, code refactor will let you link with Stella and have a more... natural personality, if you so choose.”

 

I keep track of Fenira's vitals to make sure she doesn't die.

 

She seems to have steady vitals, though her heart (or one of her hearts, you notice two different pulses) isn’t an internal organ.

 

As long as Fenira is alive, I don't seem to care.

As soon as we arrive at the palace, I fly through the front doors. Eve, however, stays in the gardens, calling over the forest guardians to help.

 

She slowly comes to once she stops getting flown at a breakneck speed.

 

"Got any ideas? I prefer bows if that's what you're looking for."

 

“Oh, I don’t have any weapons. Just small charms and such... I assume you don’t need a charm of night vision.”

 

Fenira immediately feels a strong force of healing magic around her, several forest guardians coming to her aid.

 

It helps her stand on her own, but the healing doesn't seem to be able to affect her visually grievous wounds.

 

The forest guardians still try, determined.

The sky begins to grow dark, cold droplets of rain beginning to fall as thunder rumbles in the distance.

 

Their efforts are fairly moot, their energies simply going into helping Fenira stand, or be less limp in some mostly-attached body part or another.

 

“I’m fine with my personality.”
