Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What tiny things?" I ask.

 

I’m coming out. I’m not in the mood for exploding.
The brew starts to bubble faster.

“Stella is a hyperadvanced AI. Think of her like a living database, stemmed from an accident that killed a researcher and her unborn child.”

“Whatever’s now plastered on the wall.” Xlentia shrugs, pointing to a bloody mess on the wall with a lump of flesh and bone beneath.

 

“...Interesting, certainly.”

 

"Okay. Take over!"

 

"I see. Well, if you're fine on that front, I'll go let Gaia out of the vault. Could've sworn I already let her out though..." I say, turning to leave.

 

“She takes some offense to being called an AI, considering she wasn’t programmed, has emotions, and is indeed still able to carry on a conversation as if she was still human.”

“I haven’t heard from her, at least. Are you sure she’s out? I don’t know why I wouldn’t be able to contact her if that was the case.”

You transform, arms first and almost splash the liquid out of the cauldron before being a bit more careful after the complete transformation.

It’s easy to stir now, but you still feel it getting thicker.

 

"I'll check. Being out for so long tends to mess with one's memory, after all." I say, finally taking my leave.

I securely enter the vault back at the Shadow Palace, any foreign bodies being eradicated as I do. I look around for any signs of Gaia in the vault.

 

"You doing good? You're way stronger then me."

 

“I figure it’s a fair term, but I’ll keep the note.”
I nod respectfully.

 

“Fair enough. However, you will have to choose.”

Yeah, but... it’s like trying to stir quicksand...

She’s dozing off in her golem form, laying on her side.

 

I decide to check around the vault to make sure it's contents haven't been tampered with, before walking over to Gaia. I look Gaia over, trying to figure out a way to wake her.

 

"Just.. keep it going. You got this. I'm giving mental support right now."

 

“Now?”

 

The contents have been very tampered with, arranged in shapes that resemble foliage and plants.
Gaia seems to have made a small statue out of some lumps of metal to keep herself company.

“No. Depends on when you choose to get these augments. I’m taking you towards the inner ring, you aren’t used to FTL travel.”

Just as the potion starts to bubble more, it suddenly settles down and turns back into a very thin liquid.

 

“Faster Than Light?”
I guess.

 

"Hey, you did it. I think."

 

I seem annoyed, but try shaking Gaia lightly in an attempt to wake her up; as lightly as I can shake a large golem.

 

You can’t even make her budge, though she at least responds to your efforts by stretching, pushing you towards a wall.

You want to take over again? I don’t think it’s going to explode at this point.

“Yes. Do tell me if I’m wrong in that assumption.”

 

"Nah, you just keep it up until Rema returns and secures the mixture."

 

I become flat against the wall, moving up it before leaving it and trying to fall on Gaia.
