Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

If Iris leaves Earth, the thorn bracelet seems to recede into it's seed, becoming harmless.

 

"Sure did. What is it that you're doing?"

 

"A few potions to sell. Never really done working, really."

She smiles, picking it out of her wrist and lodging it in her throat before continuing on with her day.

 

"No accidents or mishaps?"

 

“Alright.”
I nod.

 

I enter the void palace, near to Xlentia's chambers, and look around for any signs of Xlentia.

 

Her tail sticking out from her chamber doorway is a fairly good sign.

He goes quiet for a bit, before turning down another very long hall.
“...What were you built for, anyways? Clearly a prototype, by your name.”

“I have some protective enchantments, but no... nobody’s perfect, and I’ve had to replace a few books more than once.”

 

"Need some help? I'm awake anyways."

 

Rema thinks for a bit.
“Actually, I meant to ask Epsi about how we’re going to treat Gram. Could you stir this brew while I do that? I should only be about a minute.”

 

"Sure. But who's Epsi?"

 

“Oh, it’s a tease name for the wyvern. He never tells me his name, so I just call him Epsi.”

 

“Servitude. I got broken out by another of my kin.”

 

“You did not revolt yourself?”

 

"Sure. Go get him then, I'll stir your cauldron."

"Got a stick or spoon or something?"

 

Rema uncoils from a large branch.
“This should work.”

 

I shrug.
“Not really. Wasn’t feeling it.”

 

"Alright. Hand me that and you can get Epsi."
He holds out his hands.

 

I head inside, following the tail to it's source.

 

It is, unsurprisingly, Xlentia, though she's laying on her back and picking at one of her wings.

Rema passes you the branch, and it seems like it slowly disintegrates while inside the brew considering that it's lost all of the bark where it's been submerged.
"Don't let it sit too long, it's explosive if you do." She says before heading out of the room.

"Passive... do you have any ambitions whatsoever?"

 

I clear my throat to try and make my presence known.
