Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ruby puts the orichalcum chunk in stasis, then waits for Vexa to come to.

 

"You mean cute, little critters? Yep. Definilty."

 

“That sounds adorable. They ever give you trouble, or are they just entertaining?”

 

"They run around. But it's usually the parents that are troubled."

 

It takes Vexa a while, but when she does, she slowly gets up and rubs her head.

 

“Do their parents ever need help from the other pack members? I remember us giving our parents a hard time.” Fybus laughs.

Ruby looks over.
“I guess I should’ve gone with running. Sorry.”

 

"Well we help each other out. I sometimes help take care of the cubs if the parents go out hunting."

 

“That’s fair. Do they like you, or do they try to run off?”

 

"Some like me. There are a few that just ignore me and run away."

 

"No, I wouldn't have stood a chance against that thing if you weren't here." Vexa says appreciatively, smiling with a hand on her forehead.

 

“Always gonna be a problem child or two, I suppose.” Fybus laughs.

“Well... the core’s intact. I have it in stasis so it doesn’t do... well, that. Is that the metal you were talking about?” Ruby asks, gesturing to the core.

 

Vexa nods.

"That's Orichalcum alright." Vexa says.

 

"Always."

 

“Should we head back to the forge, then?”

“Just between you and me, both your brothers were said problem children in our family.” She grins.

 

"Like you said, one or two. Those are the two."
He smiles.

 

“Speaking of them, have you seen either of them? I haven’t heard of any of our family coming here before you.”

 

"I haven't."

 

Vexa nods.

"Easier said than done though. It's been a long trip out here. No doubt people will want an ore this valuable, too." Vexa admits.

 

“I can open portals across realities, getting back to the forge is literally a snap.” Ruby chuckles. “Though... with all the ruckus the golem caused, I’d be willing to bet we’ll have company soon.”
