Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yes, dragons live to thousands of years old sometimes."

 

The guardian leads her through the village to a graveyard, many trees occupying the spaces where gravestones would be. The guardian walks over to an older looking death guardian who seemed to be residing in the graveyard, leading them over to Fable and the air guardian. The death guardian speaks in the strange language again, looking at the air guardian. They seem to be noticed this time, at least by the death guardian, and respond. The forest guardian just shrugs at Fable.

 

Fable just stands there.
"So, uh... do you know anything about Terra?" She asks the forest guardian, unsure of what to do next. "I'm looking for a wielder that's fully devoted to Gaia."

 

"The Earth guardian? I've heard his stories. Supposedly he's buried somewhere, waiting to be released." The forest guardian says.

 

"Is that the same with the other guardians, like, what's their name... Aer?"

 

"Sort of. Aer isn't buried, but they've all been sealed away and hidden. Some people say they were too powerful, and the gods sealed them away out of fear. Others say they were corrupted, and were sealed away for their own safety. Not much is known though, a lot is speculation or false to make others look better." The forest guardian sighs.

 

"I wish I could talk to Gaia about it... I figure she'd know."

 

"You can try and speak to her if you wish. Some of her followers have heard from her when they've prayed here." The forest guardian says, smiling under their mask.

 

"Is there any specific spot to do so?" Fable asks, demeanor changing from passive to curious.

 

"The chruch. I can take you there if you'd like." The forest guardian says.

 

"Can you give me a minute? I don't just want to leave this spirit behind." She says, looking towards the air guardian.

 

The air and death guardian seem to be talking quite a bit, the air guardian's mood changed to a more positive one.

"Certainly." The forest guardian says respectfully.

 

Fable steps closer to the air guardian.
"Sorry to interrupt, I'm going to go see if Gaia will speak to me if I pray to her. Are you okay with parting ways?"

 

The air guardian turns to Fable and nods, conversation pausing.

"Thank you for helping me, I might be able to find my love soon." The air guardian says happily.

 

"That's great! If you find her, say hi for me, will you?" Fable asks, smiling as she steps back towards the forest guardian.

 

The air guardian nods again happily, before resuming his conversation.

The forest guardian waits patiently for Fable.

 

She walks back to the forest guardian.
"Alright, sorry about that. I just didn't want to leave them behind without warning."

 

"That's fine." The forest guardian says, leading Fable through the village again towards a church built around a large tree. A large wooden carving of a woman with a kind expression resides in an alcove above the entrance, smiling down on those walking up to the church,

 

Fable looks towards the entry.
"Okay, so... I can't really touch anything with my hands, unless you don't want it on the planet anymore. Would you mind helping me so... well, that doesn't happen?"

 

"Uh...why?" The forest guardian asks, sounding confused and concerned.
