Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Fable walks back and forth in a serpentine pattern, hoping to be confronted as she winds through the trees.

 

Fable soon ends up finding some confrontation in the form of a trap, a vine tightening itself around Fable's leg before pulling her up and letting her dangle. The air guardian doesn't seem to notice, just looking depressed.

 

"Hey, we found one." She tells the air guardian, not seeming to mind hanging upside-down.

 

"Could be. He isn't that big, maybe he's still young and easier to tame."

 

The air guardian glances up, looking slightly surprised at Fable's predicament.

A forest guardian in wooden armour and a mask drops down on the branch Fable is attached to, looking at her before saying something in a strange language.

The air guardian mumbles something in response in the same language, but seems to go unheard.

 

"Sorry, I only speak common tongue. Nothing else existed when I was made." She says, waving.

"Fair. Young for a dragon is... different than the rest of us."

 

The forest guardian seems annoyed, but responds.

"What are you doing here?" The forest guardian asks.

 

"Looking for a life or death guardian. I have a spirit friend, and so far I'm the only one that can see them. Or hear them."
Pause.
"Sorry about the language barrier, I don't have a high capacity for learning. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed."

 

"Where's the spirit?" The forest guardian asks, doubtful.

 

Fable looks to the air guardian's spirit and points.
"He's also super depressed, if that means anything."

 

The forest guardian looks in the air guardian's direction for a bit, before dropping Fable.

"Alright, I believe you. Follow." The forest guardian says, before jumping through the trees; the falling of occasional leaves the best evidence of her presence and movement direction.

 

She gets up and follows along with signalling the air guardian to follow, picking up her usually casual pace to match the guardian's speed.

 

The air guardian trails behind Fable as the forest guardian darts through the trees, leading Fable deep into the forest.

 

Fable continues to follow, slowing down if the air guardian can't keep up.

 

The air guardian seems to keep up quite easily, and soon Fable finds a huge, impassable line of trees. The forest guardian drops down from above, placing a hand on one of the trees for a moment. The trees slowly begin to part, opening a way through into a large village of forest and death guardians.

 

"What do you mean? We all age. The younger we are, the easier we are to tame."

 

Fable follows quietly, curiously looking around.

"Yes, but a dragon's youth can last a human's lifetime, or more."

 

Houses appear to be made incorporating trees, many of them tree houses or ones with large trees protruding from them. While it doesn't seem to be as large as the Earth guardian's town, there does seem to be a school with various training areas as well as a market on the far side of the village. Many guardians come and go from the village, most only coming back to rest or dry themselves. Water still drips through the leaves, though compared to how much rain is outside the forest, it's a welcome relief. Fable notices a human walking through the village with a forest guardian, the two sharing a conversation. None of the other guardians appear to care about the human though.

 

She returns her focus to the guardian she was following.

 

"Can it now? All the more chance that Sgavrinn is still a baby."
