"Oh, okay."

He looks at the opening.
"Can I just go in?"

 

Fable sighs, walking towards the library silently.

"No, don't fall in that."

Slowly, the door starts to rotate down in front of you. However, the opening also widens slightly.

 

The air guardian follows along. Strangely, they don't appear to be effected by the rain at all, their light robe-like clothing remaining dry, if a little torn.

 

He takes a step back and waits for the door.

 

"Are you hurt?" Fable asks, glancing back partway to the library.

The gap eventually closes itself, the floor rumbling as the door sets itself in front of the hall like... a normal door.
"Go on, brother." She says, gesturing to the opening despite now being on the ceiling.

 

"Alright."
In I go.

 

The air guardian shakes their head.

 

Inside appears to be the interior of a normal house, a door to a child's room wide open and filled with various toys and stuffed animals.
Ahead is a staircase, and to either side of it the living room and kitchen.

Fable continues on towards the library.

 

I'll walk to the living room.

 

The air guardian goes to open the doors of the library once they arrive, but as they approach, they swing open; another guardian leaving with an umbrella open above them and a heavy looking bag. However, instead of being slammed to the side by the door, the air guardian simply phases through. As the light of the library shines through, Fable can see the air guardian appears to be somewhat transparent.

 

Fable tries to look them in the eye.
"Are you all ethereal?"

There's two chairs facing each other around a table, a candle stand with no candle, and a lamp in the corner left on. The table has a vase, though the lone flower within doesn't have a strong enough scent to smell.

 

The air guardian shakes their head, looking confused.

 

"Fybus, where are you?"

 

"...Oh."
Fable looks at the bag, a bit curious.

"I'll just be a minute!" She calls back.

 

The guardian seems to be carrying about three large books, smiling at Fable as they pass.

 

"Okay, wherever you are."

 

“Backyard!”

You hear the sound of someone landing hard on a cushion from upstairs.

Fable waves, heading inside.

 

The air guardian follows, a cold wind shutting the door.

The library seems to have an entrance room with a noticeboard, the actual library area through a doorway with a sensor. It clicks as Fable passes, adding one to a counter. It doesn't click when the air guardian passes, however.

Inside, shelves lining the walls are packed with books. An area near to the entrance houses more childish books, smaller chairs to accompany children rather than adults. A desk with an old looking earth guardian lies just ahead of the entrance, the earth guardian doing work on a computer and occasionally glancing at the people in the library. Most people seem to be sitting next to tables or near bookshelves, all but very few reading. None are human, though; all are guardians.

 

"Alright."

He heads upstairs.
"Hello?"

 

"Do you know where books on Terra might be?" Fable asks the air guardian, doing her best to keep most people out of earshot.

"Who's there, and where's the guard?"
"We're the only ones in the room."
"Oh... who's the visitor?"
