Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"If I tell you, I want you to promise you'll put your beliefs aside." Fable requests, still uneasy.

Ted sits, sniffing at cars that pass by.

 

He mainly gets whiffs of the smoke from the cars' exhausts.
Eventually, the light turns green and a walk symbol appears, and Voidfiller starts making his way across the street.

 

"Alright..." The earth guardian says, even more confused.

 

"So.. that's 2. What happened?"

 

“There’s... another set. The Gaia you know, the other high gods. Someone created them, they call themselves the omnigods. There’s five of them, and they build realities before leaving to watch them be independent. However, they hve made a flower, per se, and the petals of our realities have overlapped.”
Pause.
“I was made by them, the omnis.”

“Your contract happened. I was framed as your target.”

Ted follows, panting happily.

 

The pair walk for about ten more minutes, going down a hill and traversing a more populated area. Eventually, they come across a sort of park, an overhead sign reading "Casa del Roy Dog Park". Inside a gated area lies a large plot of dirt with some trees, along with various types of other dogs running around. Voidfiller crouches down to Ted, scratching him and whispering.
"Now, don't burn anything okay?"

 

Ted looks at you happily, not seeming to understand the implications as his tail wags.

 

"That would explain the rumors of beings from other realities crossing into our own. I suppose like dew falls between leaves, the petals of our realities have created a bridge for beings to fall between." The earth guardian says, thinking.

 

"Just... don't."
Voidfiller smiles and scratches his head, before guiding him through a gate, taking his leash off, then opening the second gate to let him into the park.

 

“At that, I’m one of those beings. I wasn’t made to slay your gods... but I could cause them grave harm nonetheless. That’s another reason I want a wielder here - a devoted child is least likely to turn.”

Ted darts in, charging at the nearest dog.

 

This Golden Retriever stands its ground, curious at the oncoming Ted.

 

"Well, I wish you luck. I'm not one for getting into fights." The earth guardian admits.

 

"What? I would never kill family."

 

Ted slows, smelling the dog up and down to get a feel for where they’ve been.

“Not intentionally, at least... but yes, you did.”

“Funnily enough, that may be better... but I heard about Terra, I want to see if I can find him.”

 

He looks away from his sister's face.

"No.. I wouldn't.."

 

The dog's been out on some fields, the smell of grass and wood abundant.
Voidfiller goes to sit down on a bench near some other people.

 

“You may want to talk to grandmother about it. She sees... more than we’d like.”

Ted, unsurprisingly, smells like blood, soot, ash, and Voidfiller.
Ted trots back over to you after you sit down.

 

The earth guardian laughs lightly.

"I wish you luck with that. You were going to head to the library to do research on him, weren't you?" The earth guardian says.

 

The Golden Retriever trails Ted.
"Hey there buddy."
Voidfilelr reaches down to scratch Ted.

 

Fable nods.
“The alternative is that I’m dragged off by another friend to see Gaia.”

Ted pants, tail wagging.
