Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Shouting?" The earth guardian says, turning to head back to town.

 

He goes inside.

 

Back at Voidfiller's, Ted gets up and looks for any puddles left from the golem's attempts at extinguishing the fires.

"I don't have lungs or anything, I can't shout very loud."

They enter, then close the door behind them as they light a candle.
"You gotta be one of my siblings. What's your name; Ralgar, Premyn, or Bardock?" They ask, seeming hopeful.

 

"Bar..dock."

He looks confused.

 

"Are you like a golem then?" The earth guardian asks.

 

It’s mostly been “cleaned” up, forming a large (but out of the way) puddle that nobody’s near.

 

"Again, living weapon. I don't have organs, or thoughts, or feelings. I try to make it seem like I have feelings, though. Nobody talks to a stoic, heartless chunk of ancient metal."

Ted starts panting over the puddle, intentionally inhaling the steam.

"Don't you remember? The ziz that took mother away, the contracts that took father away? Any of your siblings?"

 

"That's...confusing." The earth guardian says, evidently confused.

 

"Don't worry about it. My problem, not yours."

 

The earth guardian shrugs, the town much closer now.

 

"So, what do you want me to do in the meantime? Sit outside until sunrise?"

 

"Of course not. My home has a guest bedroom, you can rest there." The earth guardian says.

 

"I remember my siblings.. but it has been ages since I last seen any off them. They have changed, and who knows, some might have already passed."

 

After a quick bit, a golem jogs over to watch Ted.

 

“Alright, thanks. I, uh... I don’t have money or anything, so let me know if there’s something I could help you with in return.”

Ted keeps panting, inhaling the steam until the puddle’s dry.

“Some have passed, yes... do you remember me, brother?”

 

"I shall." The earth guardian nods, heading into the residential part of town. The group splits up, going back to their homes.

 

The golem sets down a plastic bowl, filling it with dog kibble and offering it to Ted.

 

"Not from the back of my head. I'm gonna need a name."

 

“Fybus?”

Ted sniffs at the bowl before tipping it over and eating off the ground, leaving a scorch mark.

Fable continues following the one guardian.

 

"Fybus? That does sound familiar."

"Yeah.. Fybus. My sister."
