Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yea, actually, it did."
The giant nods.

 

"They are, what for?"

 

She touches the surface of the water with a toe every now and then, watching the ripples while otherwise idling.

“Well if you would just relax about it, she’s not your concern. Not a bad person, just... really big.”

“I’d love to know. I don’t understand the whole hurry up and wait thing.”

 

"Mhmm. I noticed."

 

As the water stills, something seems to be looking up at Fable from the water, but it disappears quickly.

 

"You're the first werewolf I've seen around here."

 

Fable pays it no mind, spacing out for the night.

“I could say the same thing. You got the crazy inner voice too?”

“Well, she’d be one way we could screw with Vox.” The fae offers.
“Put revenge on hold for a bit, my boss doesn’t know I just left the forge. Yet.” The draconian growls.

 

Ripples dance across the surface of the pond occasionally, not appearing to have a source.

 

"Puttin' revenge on hol' is part a' getting some sort of revenge. It's not like I want Vox dead, though."

 

Fable looks up, wondering if it’s rain.

“No shit, don’t bite off the hand that feeds.”
“Okay, come on, let’s get this over with.” The fae sighs.
“Right... ready when you are.”
About two hundred ingots rise from their piles and telekinetically float around the draconian.
“Stick your not-hand out when you’re ready.”

 

The sky is overcast, but a lot of the pond has an overhang covering it, and the air doesn't feel or smell like rain.

 

Fable looks back towards the water, unmoving.

 

It's hard to see in the darkness, but Fable can clearly see a pair of small blue eyes looking at her from the water.

 

The giant eyes the draconian for a bit before putting out the metal hand palm-up.

 

She waves, turning away.

A bright light blasts the metal hand before it looks identical to his normal hand, and moves just like it had been.
“Congratulations, you’re done.”

 

There's some stronger ripples as the eyes disappear.

A bat flies past Fable speedily, vanishing into the night as fast as it appeared.

 

Fable glances back before laying down and watching the sky, unmoving.

 

There's a few small splashes beside Fable, before what sounds like the flapping of small wings ascending.

 

Amazed, the giant stretches out his hand and looks over it.

 

Fable glances over, confused.

It feels normal, looks normal.
“Well, are you my first unsatisfied customer, or am I still rolling with a perfect record?” The draconian asks, a bit smug.
