Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“You do want it, don’t you?” She asks the giant telepathically.

 

"Of course I do. I just don't like decisions being made about me when nobody asks for my input and I'm standing right here."
He responds telepathically.
"Then it's settled. I don't think he can fit in that dog, though, so-"
"His name's Ted."
Voidfiller groans, handing the clipboard back to Vox and digging through a portal of his own.
"You get the point."

 

“I don’t think anyone does. Let me know if you want to take more than five minutes to piss him off, I’ll take the heat.” She responds, making sure Vox can’t butt in on the conversation becore the statement.

“Well, let me know when you’re ready to begin, and I’ll pull the strings.”

 

"I don't need the break, my job is basically me getting paid for being unconscious, but it'd be great to piss off Vox."

"As soon as possible would be great."

 

The fae smiles.
“Well, Voidfiller, I’m going to let you get him to the Void Palace.” She says, opening a fae-sized portal and heading through.

 

"Wait, where in the Void Palace? Pretty big place."
"The what-now?"

 

The earth guardian leads Fable over to a fire guardian with a clipboard at a desk, who looks up.

"New fighter." The earth guardian says bluntly.

"Name?" The fire guardian asks, looking at Fable.


"I'm glad you weren't badly hurt in the attack." Aquira responds.

 

“Fable.”


“I didn’t get there until the capital was razed.” Kiin admits.

“Anywhere but cryostasis. Just don’t be dumb and open a portal under Xlentia’s foot.”

 

"Library, then."
Voidfiller decides, still fishing in his own portal.

 

The fire guardian writes it down.

"Alright, you'll be called up when it's time." The fire guardian says.


Aquira just hugs Kiin a bit tighter before letting go.

 

The fae leaves, closing her portal as she goes.

Fable nods, turning to the earth guardian.
“Where should I wait?”


Kiin slips back down to the ground, going over to hug Sidus next.

 

A little while later, the giant squeezes through the portal into the Void Palace library.

 

Emerald glances at them.
“Welcome to my library. Don’t rip anything up and you’ll be fine.” She says, writing stuff down on eight scrolls at once.

 

"Uh, alright... did you happen to see a fae here?"
The portal closes behind the giant.

 

“Head out into the main hall, she said she’d meet you by the palace entrance.”

 

"Alright..."
The giant ambles around, trying to find the main hall to go to the palace entrance.

 

The earth guardian points to a line of strong looking guardians, all waiting to get into the ring.


Sidus hugs Kiin happily, noticing her walk over.

 

Fable gets to the back of the line, quiet.


Kiin hugs him back, content.
"What're you gonna do now?"

There's a supermassive double door half open behind the giant. The hall outside appears to be the size of a city.

 

The giant just starts cautiously walking down the hall.

Meanwhile, Voidfiller seems to finish his business with Vox and turns to Ted.
“You ready?”

 

The ground rumbles a bit, something massive getting closer.

Ted's tail starts slowly wagging.
