Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Maybe I'll use the same guy."
He shrugs, starting to open a portal.
"Well, either way, I've got to go."

 

"But what if a paradox occurs?" Katie asks, worried.


Shadow Stephanie reappears, and the orbs slow their drain. However, they move out of the way of the daggers; at the cost of their sapping.

Shadow Stephanie teleports behind the figure and kicks them in the spine with extreme force.

 

"Paradoxes happen all the time. Nothing cataclysmic." Fable shrugs.


She kicks straight into a dagger, other daggers continuing to pursue the orbs.
"Give me the sacrifice!" She yells, lowering her blade.

"Don't die in some pitiful way in the meantime."

 

"I'll try my best not to."
The giant makes the portal larger, just barely squeezing through to get back to his cabin.

 

The cabin, unless fireproof, is on fire.

 

"Yeah, I figured that might happen."
He says through his teeth, closing the portal behind him.
"Ted!"
He calls out, running towards the cabin.

 

Ted looks up from a now-melted patch of grass near the cabin, lowering his leg.

 

Several golems are already on the scene of the house-fire, some extinguishing the flash with magical items and others taking out things in the house.

"Come here."
The giant points towards his feet, commanding Ted.

 

His tail droops between his legs, only taking one step forward.

 

"Ted. Come on. Let's solve this amicably."
The giant raises an eyebrow, beckoning Ted forth.

 

Ted lowers his head and slowly approaches you.

 

"It's okay- see, this is why I create people to work for me instead of doing this menial stuff myself."
He sits down in front of Ted, gesturing to the golems frantically trying to remedy the situation, and succeeding to an extend if the fire is basic fire.
"It allows, eh, talk, of what to do in case of this kind of situation."
He waves his working hand around a bit before looking right towards Ted.
"Do you like to burn things, boy?"

 

They succeed in putting out the fire, but not the magma, which takes its time cooling.

Ted looks over to the golems, then looks back at you with continued guilt.

 

The golems keep most of everything away from the magma, assessing the full situation.

"They're great, aren't they?"
The giant smiles.
"Look, I don't want this kinda thing to happen again. I like my house and the stuff in it, ya know? I mean, I can give you other things to burn if you want to burn things."

 

"A hawk that's running around?"

 

OOC: Flying around, poor choice of words on my part

Ted blinks, seeming confused.

 

"But...surely they rip apart the fabric of time if not stable!" Katie says, worried.


"Kfme lcvwibcse ba pvamtqwy!" Shadow Stephanie says demonically, pulling her foot back and taking out the dagger, stabbing the figure with it.

 

"Guess our reality's just self regulating or something." Fable shrugs.


They trade a shallow scratch with the dagger for a deep cut with the broadsword.

 

"That's really weird." Katie comments.


Shadow Stephanie moves out of the way, grabbing the broadsword and moving with it, but slowly applying strength to slow it without getting cut.

 

“I didn’t write the rules, I just sit in whatever prison I get sealed away in.” Fable shrugs. “Speaking of, if I could hug your gods for not already trying to seal me, I would, except I might hurt them so that’s a terrible idea.”


Knife blades emerge from the blade as if it were a spiked club, retracting if Shadow Stephanie lets go.
