Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She seems to be already asleep.

It’s weird. Being part of you makes me think that I should feel what you do all the time. I guess we are still two different people... sort of.

As she treads across the cracked ground, she finds a few piles of rubble near knocked over columns. Nothing else in particular stands out.

 

The giant keeps pulling the ram back as it gains more power, lots of stone being created around the giant's feet to enable him to keep his footing. Just as it seems like the giant's arm might be ripped off from the ram's power, the giant lets go, awkwardly falling on his elbows and back as the ram silently streaks into the wall with astounding force.

 

Katie investigates the rubble curiously.

 

"Well.. I'm mentally talking to you. Either we are to seperate persons, or I'm crazy."

 

Could be both, because I know I’m crazy.

It seems to have bits of carvings on them, perhaps totems or markers of some sort. Whatever they were, there’s hardly any trace of magic left in it.

Ted whimpers in response to the impact, which does indeed break the wall down and cause neary everyone on the other side to take cover behind shields, other tunnels, or take the blunt of the backblast.

 

"How do you know?"

 

The ram continues its powerful streak as it hits the ground, skidding and tearing itself and the ground up before eventually stopping. The silencing aura drops as the giant leaps to his feet, only partially ready for battle.

 

Katie seems a bit disheartened, looking for evidence of any other carvings.

 

There’s other bits of carvings in the other piles, but nothing else notable left in sight outside the palace.

As you get up, you’re met with a shield bash that knocks you over again.
Ted seems adverse to doing much other than closing its eyes and hoping for the best... relatively speaking.

Do normal people go running around with an axe when they could just rip them apart with claws?

 

"Does that make me crazy? I just don't want to scare everyone off."

 

Katie tries digging through the rubble near the carvings, hoping to find something.

 

She finds something, but it's not pleasant - there's a few tiny bones and ash within the first pile she searches.

I mean, not wanting to scare everyone's normal. I dunno if me being crazy makes you crazy, though. Maybe we should ask someone else to decide?

 

Katie inspects the bones to try and figure out what they belonged to.

 

Due to their size, it'd be a fair guess to assume they belonged to a fae.

A small breeze rolls by before everything is once again still and silent.

 

"Rema probably knows more about that. She's dealt with werewolves before, maybe it's a common thing."

 

You could ask her in the morning, I guess. For now, go dream about that dragon friend of yours.

 

Katie looks in the direction of the breeze, hoping to see someone using magic.

 

There’s someone, looking to be a robot, but it doesn’t seem like magic.
“The silence helps me think. What about you?” They ask, looking at the bones.

 

"Oh, uhm, hello." Katie says quietly.

 

“I’m not big on introductions. Hi, my name is this; hello, my name is that... then they forget what they were going to say.” They say with a short wave.
