Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'll just chat with my sweetheart a bit while we wait."

 

“Sounds good. Though, pardon me for asking, but I wasn’t quite expecting company tonight. Could you make sure the bed in the guest room is made, please?”

 

Amber begins to feel...fresher, more alive. Amber's body seems to regenerate and heal, but she still has the feeling of being undead. The heat pulses more frequently, Amber appearing to be in a state of alive and undead at the same time.

 

"You have a guest room? Which way is it?"

 

She tries taking it off, a bit overwhelmed.

Rema points between two bookshelfs with her tail.
“There’s a door, and mind the step up. I don’t want to make medicine for two.”

 

The effects don't fade immediately, but Amber can feel herself starting to decompose again.

 

"Got it. Is the stuff to prepare there or so we need to get it from somewhere?"

He walks towards the two bookshelves.

 

“No, it’s all there. Pillows, sheets, blankets, and so on.”
Anne follows, padding almost silently alongside you.

She puts it on again, continuing to dig and bury the skulls of fallen guardians, disintegrating and feeding on the rest.

 

"I'll get on it. Call when you're ready."

Bardock goes past the two bookshelves and goes to the guest room.

 

The more skulls she buries, the more alive Amber feels. Spirits seem to be put at peace with their bodies as the figure continues to watch, smiling.

 

The giant takes a good look at Ted.
"Nah. If he gets too annoying, I'll do it myself."

 

Anne follows you in, a fairly large step up to the door.

Inside is a large mattress, clearly meant for dragons, and a stack of nearly folded sheets and blankets next to a not so neat pile of pillows.

“Boy am I glad I didn’t feed on their entire bodies...” Amber sighs, continuing on until midnight, when she sits down and takes a break.

“Can you conjure water?” They ask, Ted seeming oblivious to the conversation.

 

"I was thinking of just creating a portal to the bottom of an ocean."

 

"Well, we have enough sleeping space atleast. Let's get started."

Bardock walks over to the blankets and starts unfolding them.

 

“Close enough.” They shrug.

Some are soft, some are a bit scratchy but fairly heavy, and others are winter quilts.

 

The figure glides over, sitting down near to Amber, but keeping his distance.

 

"Either way, we should keep going."

 

She glances at him, but mostly spends time wiping off and sharpening her lance.
“Who usually does this? You?” She asks casually.

They nod.
“The other tunnel is the last one, and nobody’s found the spire, so... onwards and upwards, I guess.”

 

"Let's, then."
The giant starts going down the other tunnel.

 

The rest of the group follows behind, Erre blowing some of the smoke off the two newcomers.

You reach the spire without a hitch, but you can hear fighting further down the tunnel.
