Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The giant stays still, linking with the ranger.
“They’re onto us, stay alert.”

 

"You sound like Praecantatia. She does research into magic and magictech, to better understand her element." Caelia says, smiling.


Fenira is left alone, the tougher beasts deciding to live to fight another day.

 

“Does she work with mortals?”


She takes a few steps towards any beast that chooses to be close to her, trying to scare them off.

“Noted. I’ll be ready with an arrow.”

 

The giant starts very slowly making his way forward again.

 

"Not often, but since her half-mortal daughter was badly hurt, she's been spending a lot of time with her." Caelia explains.


Fenira ends up finding a blind mole-like beast, the beast sniffing the air.

 

“Yes, I’ve met her. Nice girl, if not untrusting. Rightfully so, albeit.”


She leaves it alone, not overly concerned.

A guard walks in a third entry, startled once he sees you.

 

The giant quickly advances on the guard and grabs him with his non-goop hand, dragging him towards the giant.

 

"She takes after her mother, it seems. I was wrong to think of her disruptive of our meetings from one experience, she's behaved herself quite well without the presence of other mortals." Caelia praises, smiling.


The mole beast digs underground, the ground rumbling slightly as it moves.

 

"It's just good to know that he makes it. Will he go back to normal again?"

 

“That sounds like Ihra... she acts her age until something comes up, then she acts her age and has a point.” Idhaenna grumbles.


Fenira tracks it, eyes following just behind it.

“He should.” Siln nods.

He winds up grabbing his weapon, which he lacks the sense to let go of as he’s pulled into the dryad’s arrow.
“Keep ‘em coming.”

 

The giant takes his weapon, slamming it into the remains of the guard.

 

"As I remember, she was one of the causes of disruption at our first meeting with mortals included. In Gaia's Gardens, I believe. She can be so flippant with who she lets in sometimes..." Caelia comments.


The mole just digs a deep tunnel underground, before moving horizontally.

 

“She’s too young for her own good. She’s... actually stronger than any individual god she’s ever met. The daughter of something greater, if you will.”


She tracks it, trying to stay wary of what’s above ground.

The dryad sighs.
“Not subtle, are you?”

 

"Whom?" Caelia inquires.


The mole just digs seemingly aimlessly, occasionally stopping to eat an underground grub before continuing on.

 

"The art of 'keeping 'em coming' is not subtle."
The giant points out, readying his new weapon.

 

“Crea, the wisp of creation. The being who created me, my fellow gods, and the reality we live in. There’s four of them... one of creation, one of destruction, one of paradoxes, and one of undoing. They’re all sealed off, currently, but with their children running about, they’re trying to reawaken.”


She leaves it be, uninterested.

She sighs.
“Remind me to never use figurative speech around you. Escape is priority one, they’ll all be back.”

 

"Let's just go."
The giant starts listening for footsteps as he heads forward.

 

"A large group of the humans conceptualised a pair of beings like that. They call them God, and The Devil; probably derived from the truth of Gaia and Mortius. Their god supposedly made everything we see and allows them to go to a paradise if they live a good life. The Devil apparently is the cause for evil and tortures them when they live a bad life. No single god could create everything here, though. It was hard enough for me to create...this." Caelia says calmly and elegantly, motioning to outer space.


Fenira's distraction with the mole seems to have left her open to attack, a large furry beast growling behind her.

 

Idhaenna laughs.
“That’s why I choose to work with mortals. Their theories and crap are hilarious, but they get in the way.”


She petrifies it with a glance.

He finds a field of caltrops left, along with a hound-like beast running off once it notices him, barking.

 

He opens a portal beneath the beast, leading back to right in front of the giant.
