Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Idhaenna finds a large bird resting on a wall just past the old ant-eater's home. It too seems to be sleeping, though it's huge size probably gives it the right to.

 

She keeps flying on, after a minute getting bored and opting to go a fair distance above the clouds.

 

Idhaenna finds a few air guardians flying about, one of them gliding towards what looks like a floating island.

 

Curious, she also flies towards the island.

 

A few other air guardians seem to be on the island, talking with each other. A small shack appears to be built on it, housing glasses of lemonade that are sold.

 

Idhaenna flies up to it, landing closer to the edge of the island before looking at a few of the guardians.

 

The guardians notice Idhaenna, glancing at her before whispering to each other. A bored looking guardian runs the shack. Oddly, they seem to have a lighter blue hair than the other guardians, and wings that look a little more like fish scales than feathers.

 

Idhaenna turns back to the group of guardians.
“I’m guessing harpies aren’t native to this planet?” She asks.

 

"You mean the thing the humans call us?" One of the air guardians asks.

 

“Figures they wouldn’t call you angels, knowing them.” She says. “But, sure, I guess.”

 

"That's what they used to think we were." Another air guardian says, sipping a glass of lemonade through a straw.

 

“Okay, let me try again - my second guess is that not too many non-guardians find their way up here.”

 

"We usually kill them first." The first air guardian comments.

 

“I mean, you’re welcome to try, but you have no chance. I’m just taking a self-guided tour before a few meet and greets that I need to get in before my break’s over.” She shrugs.

 

"Huh?" The air guardian asks, confused.

 

“Well, I appear to have fallen in the fortunate end of the usual kills... again, you’d have no chance against me, but I need to say hi to Gaia, so the lack of conflict is extremely beneficial.” She says offhandedly, glancing at her bracelet again.

 

The air guardian narrows his eyes at Gaia, confused.

"Whatever." The air guardian says, turning around. The other guardians move to the edge of the island in a group. Idhaenna can overhear the guardians talking about her and how she probably has a huge ego.

 

Idhaenna smiles, before transforming into her ethereal gryphon form.
“Yes, I do in fact have a huge ego... and the size to accomodate.” She whispers, grinning.

 

The other guardians don't seem to notice, not even the one running the shack.

 

She reveals herself only to the members of the group, craning her neck over them before taking off for the upper atmosphere.
