Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh. Yeah, that's not confirmed."

 

“If it’s wrong, it could easily be the end of us.”

 

"Then, let's be prepared."

 

“Head up, I’ll help lead get the others.” The dryad says, running off.

 

The giant quickly goes to the spiral, waiting.

 

A few draconians show up, then the dryad, then a handful of fae and a golem. A beast tamer is barely visible between their group.
“Alright, on to level 2?”

 

"Where?"

He cleans his right cheek once more.
"How about now?"

 

The giant's actively peeling large amounts of skin off of the goop-covered hand before the group comes.
"'Eah, let's move."
The giant starts his way up the spire.

 

“Yeah, that’s it. I don’t see anything else.”

The rest of the group follows from behind, not particularly intent on face-checking whatever’s in the spire.

Luckily for Voidfiller, that seems to be literally nothing, and the spire just opens up into a torch-lit chamber.

 

The giant peeks around the chamber, locating any way out.

 

"Sweet. Thank you."

Clears throat.
"Alright. Shall we make a run for it to Siln's? It's not that far anymore."

 

Gail nods, pointing toward Alice's house.

 

The harpy glances over.
"I see Mortius already passed her on. I was going to... return what she took, but I trust his judgement." She grumbles, before turning back to Gail with a hand extended.
"Anyhow, pardon my manners. I'm Idhaenna."

"Yeah, I might regret having that much cake if I don't walk it off." She says, hopping off your shoulder.

Two tunnels, one with a bit of fog.

 

"Nice to meet you. I'm Gail." Gail says, shaking Idhaenna's hand.

 

"Haha, you're gonna get fat."
He smiles.

 

Idhaenna nods.
"You run this tram rail?" She asks, glancing at the skyrail.

"Well, if I get fat, you'll be getting stronger carrying me around." She teases, running ahead of you.

 

"Oh no, you'll be walking off that fat."

 

"Skyrail, and yes." Gail says.

 

“Or burning it.”

Idhaenna smiles.
“Quaint. I’m sure the view from the railcars is lovely.”
Pause.
“Actually, can you keep something just between us?”

 

"Or burn away the fat."
