"Don't worry. I'm sure the birds will enjoy it."

 

He looks to the left before looking at the man for confirmation.

 

The extension simply stares at her.
“Go comfort Katie. Shadow Palace, medical wing.” It says in a hollow, echoing growl.


“...Why?” Alice asks, stopping and staring right at her.

“Fair enough.” She snickers, continuing on.

“That’s a loop.”

 

"Then, where to now?"

 

"Well, if you're going up, you could just go the way we came down."

 

Bardock continues walking in the direction of the mountains, or atleast where he thinks they are.

 

Abigail just falls to the ground against the wall, terrified.


Claire just blinks, before offering her hand.

 

"You heard me. Go, before Kiin comes and asks what's wrong." It growls, drawing closer.
"Katie needs you right now..." Xephyr's voice softly echoes... at least, it sounds like Xephyr's voice.


Alice takes it, Claire feeling a surge of distrust.
"You're the girl Aj took from the island?"

Anne doesn't complain, which suggests you're going the right way... or her cake is good enough to distract her from helping you navigate.

A few minutes later, you appear near the field that leads to the cliffside city and the mountains.

 

Abigail just starts crying, petrified.


Claire nods, holding on to Alice.

 

A few seconds later, the shadow disperses and Kiin comes into the room, confused.
"Abigail? What's wrong?" She asks, worried.


"Silent type..." She mutters, glancing away.
"...Well, you didn't show up here for nothing, so what's going on?"

 

Abigail just keeps crying, shaking.


"The spirits told me about you." Claire says.

 

Kiin hugs her, still confused.


“For the good or the bad?”

 

Abigail loosely hugs Kiin back.


"They are not angry with you." Claire says.

 

Kiin just keeps hugging Abigail, yawning.


“Good enough for me.” She sighs, still seeming distraught.

 

Abigail starts calming down after a bit, hugging Kiin a bit tighter.


"Do not be ashamed of who you are. A spider does not consider the life of the fly it kills." Claire says cryptically.

 

"Alright, the mountains are in view, so we're heading the correct way."

He heads for the mountains, looking at the sky to distract himself a bit.

 

Kiin pats Abigail on the back.
“I looked around, it’s just us two here, you’re fine.” She whispers.


“I am dissatisfied with this silk spun for me.” Alice says.

There are few clouds, the sky almost abnormally blue and orange as the sun starts sinking under the horizon.

 

Abigail sniffs, before letting go. She tries to smile a little.


"Why not try to be a different person?" Claire asks, a more childlike demeanor returning.

 

"Is it already that late? How long were we stuck at Arga's place?"

 

Kiin smiles.
“Come on, we could watch more videos or go see if sis is alright. Hide and seek is boring when you can see through walls.”


“You’re looking at the outcome.” Alice grumbles, glaring at Claire.
