Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Abigail jumps, nearly falling off of Katie's chair.

"Katie, don-" Abigail says as she spins around, before seeming a little surprised to see Kiin.

 

I forgot who got injured from the fight with the Ziz.

"We'll see once we get there."

 

“I almost ate your soul, didn’t you hear me call?” She asks, shadow form still looming over her.

Gram was injured.

“Yeah...”
Pause.
“...Can I hop back on your shoulder?”

 

"No?" Abigail says, sounding offended.

There's a scream from the person playing the game, having died again.

 

“I yelled out twice.” Kiin says, annoyed.
Her shadow extension slinks back into the scepter.

 

"Where'd you get that scepter from?" Abigail asks.

 

"Ofcourse."

He gets down on his knees.
"Climb aboard."

 

He runs his hand along it to feel the wall.

 

“I’ve always had it. Mother said that when the terminal fragment of sorrow rises, the kingdom would find its home. So... I have a fleet of 400 ships and an entire population at my beck and call.” She says, tapping her staff’s frozen crystal.

She climbs on, nuzzling you.
“Thanks, as always.”

It’s stone, some of it porous and other parts smooth.

 

The giant looks back to see how far he's walked as he continues onward.

 

He stands back straight.
"No problem, honey. You're lucky you're not that heavy."

 

Far enough that the side path and the intersection are no longer visible.

“Heh, if I really wanted to, I could just get servants to carry me around everywhere... but lazy people get fat, and then you can’t go sneak off somewhere.”

 

The giant grumbles unintelligibly, before just focusing on the path ahead.

 

"You're being quite lazy though, don't you think so?"

 

"Well, it's been a long few days, and I'll tell you all about my last adventure before you chased me down."

It seems to bend to the left.

 

"Sure, anytime."

 

"Huh. I never took her to be that powerful. So you're a queen now?" Abigail asks.

 

"Nah, the queen's the queen. Plus, Xephyr was old as dirt. She probably spent half her energy staying upright."

"...After we settle down tonight. I've got a piece of cake waiting for me right now." She says, telekinetically taking her cake from its container.

 

"Right, right."

He continues walking.
"Enjoy."

 

Abigail seems a little intimidated.

"Well...try to not let that power get to you." Abigail says, concerned.
