Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie looks stressed out about something, her eyes teary as Abigail tries to comfort her. Abigail occasionally looks back toward the palace doors.

 

"You can only move your color. Which is white."

 

"I won't, don't worry."

 

"What's wrong?" Xlentia asks, whispering so she doesn't ask the entire city.

"Alright. You have an hour to prep. I'll just send you out with the next frontline group."

"But you had me set up the black pieces." She says, confused.

 

"Good to hear."
Voidfiller then terminates the connection.

 

The feedback from doing so winds up blurring his vision for a bit.

 

He whips his eyes a bit before going back to what he was doing.

 

"Oh. Sorry. I miss spoke. The ones on your side. You can just point at one of your pawns and I'll explain what it does."

 

Katie looks up and tries to open her mouth to explain, but ends up sobbing.

"Katie's parent's ship was attacked by a human army. They...lost." Abigail explains.

 

Xlentia seems worried.
“Are they captured, or...?”

“Are all of them pawns?”

Nobody else bothers him, sans a curious fae.

 

"Shoo."
He says to the fae, thinking for a bit.

 

"Only the first row. On the second are the king, the queen, 2 bishops, 2 rooks and 2 civalries."
(Are those names correct?)

 

Abigail nods.

Katie hugs on to Abigail, shaking.

"We have no idea where Aj or Shadow Stephanie are, and without them we'd be dead if we tried to help." Abigail says.

 

“I think you’re forgetting two other people who might be able to help.” Xlentia whispers.

(Chivalries are knights, correct otherwise)
“How do the other pieces move?”

The fae ignores him, continuing their observation.

 

"The rooks move vertical and horizontal. The bishops move diagonal. The queen can move in all directions. The king can do the same, but only one square at a time. The knights can move 1 square horizontal or vertical and 1 square diagonal."

 

Anne thinks for a bit before pushing another pawn forward.

 

"Who?" Abigail asks.

 

Bardock does the same.

 

He drops through a portal to his home, choosing to ignore the fae as well.

 

The fae tosses an acorn through the portal, keeping distance.

Anne eventually yawns.
“I don’t know how you can keep track of this many things.” She complains.

“The, uh... draconian shadow lady, whatever her name is, and whoever Gaia’s advisor is.”
