Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Don't worry about that. I'll stay and wait for them if it will soothe your mind." Gaia says.

 

"If you can spare the time, I'd appreciate that." Rose nods, relaxing.

 

"Would you like to go see Praecantatia now? Or do you want to stay here for a bit longer?" Gaia asks.

 

"Whichever's more convenient for you." Rose says, smiling.

 

"Yeah that's works. Kind of."

 

"Either." Gaia says happily.

 

“Do you know how to play?”

Anne glances at you.
“I don’t.”

“I’d like to go now, then. Apologize in person and all... if you don’t mind, of course.”

 

"Kind of. Just move them around in an order."

 

“Figures.”
I turn and walk away.

 

“...Okay, what games do you actually know how to play?”

“Have a nice day, sir.”

 

“You too.”
I turn my head, smile and nod, then walk back in the direction of the sun symbol.

 

"Not at all." Gaia says, putting her hands to her head and starting to focus.

A portal opens up onto a huge floating island, robotic golems seen walking about in the distance, as well as a wooden bridge at the far side of it.

 

"You can explain how it works. We have two hours, right?"

 

Rose smiles and waves before walking through.

“Yeah. Checkers is pretty simple, but give me time to make the set.”

It leads back outside, where the guard offers you your hammer back.

 

Gaia waves before the portal closes.

It seems to be a rather sunny afternoon on the islands. Now through the portal, Rose can see a couple of figures in the more middle islands. A warm wind brushes by, and Rose feels a strong feeling of magic in the air.

 

Rose spreads her ashen wings and heads cautiously towards the middle islands before calling out “Hello?”

 

The figures pause for a moment, looking toward Rose. Now closer, Rose can see it's Stephanie and her Shadow counterpart. The pair talk to each other while looking at Rose.

 

Rose freezes up, looking scared.
“I swear, if I knew it would hurt you that much, I never would’ve listened to her!” She calls, worried.

 

Stephanie and Shadow Stephanie talk a bit more, before Shadow Stephanie teleports over.

"What?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Ofcourse. I'll see what I can do to pass the time a bit."
