"Who is this Last Prophet?"

Khione frowns "You're fighting a literal mountain. Okay, a very-" she starts coughing "-mountain. We'd say more, but the-" more coughing "- is a taboo."

Zethes counts down five seconds. "Huh... Khione's not dead yet?"

"Awh..."

"Very funny. But yeah. You really can't say much about-" Khione breaks out coughing "-without that happening, or- in the worst case, you dying."

Zethes has started counting down again, looking annoyed when Khione doesn't fall over dead at five.

"Other than that, the spell casters are the most dangerous. A few of them enslaved the souls of shapeshifting dragons." She reverts into a dragon. Both she and Avis are growling.

 

"Her name is Ragnyon. She's the one that was supposedly executed for seeing the end of the Hive Master. He stabbed her through the neck with his blade - It's beyond me how she's still alive."

"Vei, any counters?"
"Ihra has my tomes. It'd be safer for me to just go on a murder spree with you guys here."

"Well, what do you say? Send Vei out to give them hell and get them off your backs for a bit?"

 

I hand Ragnyon a loaf of bread and some cooked beef, "I hope this helps," I say, "I think it would be a bad idea to just leave you here, especially without food or water to survive with. We're greater as a group, and your powers of prophecy may lend us important information for the future."

I look at Abigail, "And it's not that Abigail doesn't want you here, she's just being protective of Ihra; filling in the slot for her deceased previous dragon. Give her time to get to know you, and she'll be a lot friendlier."

 

"Better keep Artemis off her though, since she uses her blood to be able to see into the future." I pipe in.

 

"I think I have that covered." I say, throwing a bulbous orange heart at you. It explodes, covering you in blood.

"Artemis only wanted to taste blood since she was getting used to the concept. She wouldn't drink the blood of any random stranger; especially if they require it."

 

"Thanks..."
She eats the bread first, shaky. She eats the beef afterwards, cutting it with her tail.

"That ought to do me for a while... I hope..."

 

"I'm sure you'll feel a lot better once Artemis gets up. It's horrible to think you were chained so tight as to make such markings." I say, saddened by the though of Ragnyon's chains.

Abigail raises her head and looks over, before lowering it again. She seems a little more trustful of Ragnyon.

 

Ragnyon cringes, but calms down after Abigail seems to stand down.
"It was painful, no denying that..." She mutters.

 

"For goodness sake" I mutter, summoning a water orb and throwing it at myself to clean the blood.

 

My gauntlet is lying around somewhere nearby. During nighttime, if I happen to be low on energy, I may enter a dormant state (which I am in now) akin to sleeping, in which I can retreat into the gauntlet so I don't have to expend energy to create a physical form for myself. I'm effectively asleep, the only way to get my attention is to put on the gauntlet. Put on the gauntlet....

 

I "shake my head".

 

Arnold looks at the petrified dragon for a while before moving onto another one.

OOC: Wait, how do you stab someone in the neck if they have chains around their neck?

"I am Eras, the God of Darkness of this world. I'm guessing you know who Ihra is, and of course now Abigail, Aj and Artemis. This flower down here is... I'm not sure. I haven't seen much of them. That person over there is Thirteen, the pool of water belongs to Katie, a water guardian, that's Stephanie and... that gauntlet looks like the one which belongs to Luphyx, a wizard. This is Hythania and Idala."
I point to the people at the same time as saying who they are.
"As for what happened, you just appeared where Xlentia was a few hours ago before she was pushed into the Void."

 

OOC: Stabbed then chained.

"Mistress has quite the collection, doesn't she? If you're in to books, you could pay her library a visit. Obviously she can't read the books, but it's there for us. Figure we may as well get you acquainted with her palace if you intend to serve her."

"Strange... I suppose this far beats being chained or dead."

You notice Ragnyon holding a crystal orb between the two of you.

The orb shows a vision of you relaxing in Void Palace, but only the seventh pillar seems to remain. Nobody else is there, hold Daras, Idala, and Hythania.
"Where is your residence, if you don't mind me asking? It has curious architecture."

 

"Yes, I would like to see her library."

"It's the Void Palace. As its name suggests, it's in the Void. There are a few portals to it in this world."
I seem to be wondering about the vision but I then dismiss anything I might have been about to say.

 

"This way."
The draconian heads straight down the hall and to the right. As you turn, you see what's essentially a town lined with books.

"I don't know how many languages you can read, but there are books from many worlds."

"Strange... Xlentia may see you as a threat, then. She thinks the Void is her own, though she's fought other gods for its control before."

 

"How many can I...? Hmm, very few. Though there are so many books that one will likely have a recognisable language. Are all the books in existence here?"

"I'm guessing she might at some point. But right now, it seems her priorities are to kill Ihra and take her staff."

 

"Not all, but many she found throughout her travels, some she simply kept as a memento of destruction."

"That would make sense, yet it seems you held her off. I'm surprised."

 

Arnold looks around the library for a title in a language he recognises.

"I don't know what happened. When I arrived, Aj was talking to her. Soon after, Xlentia collapsed."

 

He eventually finds a shelf with books in the language commonly spoken in The Darklands.
Encyclopedias, a dictionary, a few translating books...
...textbooks, journals... Hell, it looks like a nation's archive.

"And things get more confusing as I go. How about I stop asking questions and just find my place in this world..."

 

Arnold starts reading one of the journals.
