Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I believe so, I haven't seen many though." The fire guardian shrugs.


I melt into Artemis, empowering her before she goes and checks on Sgavrinn.


"Gift?" Tenebrae responds telepathically.

 

"Hm... Well, thank you and my apologies for panicking. I'm new here, and I'd hate to blow my lucky shot at serving under Gaia on day one."


Sgavrinn looks frozen in pain, missing a wing and a leg with a huge gash in his chest.


"Technically not from me, but my idea." Xlentia says, leaving a massive box topped with a diamond bow. "The bow is, though."

"Wait, seriously? That's no joke?"

From above, he can see the mainland kingdom from the skies as well as the size difference between the two.

 

"Uh. Yeah sure. That you know who it is, that is. Don't give us uninvited guests."

 

"Oh, you've come to serve Gaia?" The fire guardian asks, curious.


Artemis looks at Sgavrinn sympathetically for a bit, feeling guilty.


A pair of dark hands emerge from the ground, grabbing the box and dragging it down.

Tenebrae carefully opens the box.

 

“Study under her, if nothing else. I do hope to spend at least a few years free from servitude.”


Avis nuzzles Artemis’ foot, sensing her emotions.


It unwraps to reveal Miorah holding something with vines.
“Lady Tenebrae, I beg for your mercy... these fae can’t be exposed to light, and our home burrows were set ablaze.” She says, solemn. “Your gifts are held by those who remain, one from each regardless of decision.”

“Alright, your secret’s safe with me.” He winks.

 

"I'm sure there's a lot you can learn from someone as wise as Gaia." The fire guardian says happily.


Artemis reaches down and pets Avis lightly.


Tenebrae seems a little surprised, a bubble surrounding Miorah as she takes a moment to think.

"I'm sure I could find somewhere for them." Tenebrae says.

Miorah feels like she's being watched by something.

 

“I’ve also inquired about studying under Lady Praecantatia, but considering my past I fear it will be a long shot.”


Avis cooes, feathers rubbing up against Artemis’ hand.


She ignores it, glancing nervously at the vines she holds.

 

"It always stays our decision on who can and cannot come. So, don't invite anyone or make it seems like they can come."

 

"Why's that?" The fire guardian asks.


Artemis smiles a bit, before jumping down to the ground floor; catching herself with dark wings.


A portal to the Shadow Palace opens in front of Miorah.

"Take them to my royalty, and tell them I sent you." Tenebrae says with a smile.

 

He flies to the mainland, observing it from above.

 

“I brought harm to her daughter to save her life.”


Avis peeks at her from the edge of the walkway, silent.


Miorah nods, letting the vines loosen a bit as fae that are small by fae standards peek out and leave various small trinkets behind.
Once they finish, the vines close up again and she heads through the portal.

There’s several fortresses and a central greater castle, one of the former being built on a cliff.

“I’ll try to keep my mouth shut. One sign I know who it is and I’ll never be allowed to sleep.”

 

"And why is that?"

 

“Everyone wants to know.”

 

He flies to the entrance, descending.

 

OOC: of the cliffside?

 

"But why wouldn't you be allowed to sleep?"

 

“Everyone would keep asking me for hints.”

 

"But...you saved her daughter." The fire guardian says.


Artemis stands on the floor for a short while, seeming to be thinking before heading out.


Tenebrae carefully inspects the trinkets.


The guards stand on their posts beside the gates, though they don't seem too hostile toward Miorah.

 

“That hardly matters to a distressed mother.”


Nobody bothers you two.


Some are simple household items on a tiny, tiny scale, others are dolls. There’s also a very small moss representation of Tenebrae built around a twig.


“I was told to come here?” She asks, approaching slowly.
