Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“Eschevrite, I believe. I kind of slacked off on my foreign relation studies.”

“Well, I’m glad you appear unscathed.” He laughs nervously.

 

Amelia heads onward, passing by people and areas before coming to a training camp of sorts.

 

Rose follows silently.
“Just out of curiosity, are you a halfdragon?”

 

"No...I'm not sure how I could be half dragon and half guardian honestly. I'm an air and fire guardian hybrid." Amelia says.

 

"Eschevrite. Rolls right off the tongue."

 

“Guardians can be hybrids... hm. Learn something new every day.” Rose nods.

“Yeah, sounds like some sort of made up rock, though. Not particularly fitting for the dominant naval kingdom, but names are weird.”

 

"Speaking of names, what's yours?"

 

"We're quite common actually. If two guardians of different elements have a child, there's a chance their child will be able to use both their parent's elements. I believe I saw a guardian of three elements around here a while ago too." Amelia explains.

 

“Mel. And you?”

“Keep in mind this is my second trip through this reality. The first time, I only stopped by the realm of shadows. Gaia’s children seem more welcoming to curiosity.”

 

"Thirteen."

 

“The number? I mean, I figure you get this a lot, but what’s the story behind that?”

 

"Some people who didn't want their product being released didn't care about the name of their creation. That's to sum it up."

 

“Guess they got no say in the matter.” Mel snickers. “All dead or all fired?”

 

"Well, this is our arena." Amelia says, walking over to a recessed area of the training camp with a large dome. There's two entrances, though the arena seems empty.

 

“Is it usually this empty, or is there an illusion protecting the people inside?”

 

"Dead. All of them."

 

“Outside attack or inside?”
Pause.
“Well, no need to answer that if you don’t want to.”

 

"Inside. I've come to terms with it. I just say this song and dance a lot, but at least it's something to talk about while walking."

 

"It's not usually empty, but we get along quite peacefully here." Amelia says happily.

 

“Do you know how I’d go about finding an opponent?”

“Better than me complaining about my job, which is comparatively minimal in comparison.” Mel shrugs.
