"Ah, a prophet. Interesting."

 

"Do you have something against them?"

 

"No, no! In fact, I was wondering, usually what kind of prophesies do you give out? Deaths, destineys, what kind?"

 

"Erm... It depends. I don't control them."

 

I walk over to the active group and glance at the Flower.

 

"I see...and what do you mean with you don't control them?"

"Yes?"

 

I don't respond.
I'm just standing there, looking, in various directions.
Mostly at Ragnyon.

 

"I tell them. Did you expect otherwise?"

 

"Not really."

 

"I don't know what I'll see. It's news to me as much as it is to the other person. Sometimes more, sometimes less."

 

"Huh. I always thought Prophets knew everything."

 

"What?! I'd like to meet one that does. Well... I guess there's not showing the subject the vision... but I find that others are more satusfied when they too see it."

 

"Well, is Aj the only person you have something for?"

 

"Fine, fine."
She holds out the orb between you.

It shows you at the mercy of Arnold's mace, and a beam of light ends him just before he ends you.
"Yikes... You've got some serious enemies, it seems..."

 

"I've gotten used to it. Mind showing the clip a few times again so I can study it?"

 

"I'm afraid I can only do it twice. While I can show you over and over again, it's extremely taxing. Each vision required some of my blood. I can't just show visions constantly, else I'll kill myself."
She looks a bit pale, even in the moonlight.

 

"Ah I see. My memory will do just fine." I stare into space, studying the clip, occasionally grinning.

 

Whilst doing so, part of you notices something on her claws holding the orb; they look trimmed past the quick and are extremely flat;
at the start of the memory, the vision starts as a crimson swirl that expands to take on a comprehendible picture.

 

I stop studying the clip. "What's that?" I ask, growing a vine and pointing to her claws.

 

"They're just cuts. I used to carry around a dagger when those wounds closed. In fact..."
She feels around her robe, then facepalms.
"Ah, my memory eludes me as well, it seems."
Her tail looks sharper than any blade you've seen.

"Cut them early and I bleed for nothing. Leave them be and it's difficult to do my job."
