Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Emerald heads into the cryostasis room, freezing Sgavrinn before leaving and heading into what looks like a cross between a hospital and a sacrifice circle to heal Artemis.

A succubus in a wedding gown comes to take Aj away, opening a portal to the shadow palace.


Alice works on sharing her life force with Artemis as you’re picked up by someone, silk brushing against your face as they walk.

 

Onyx hops through the portal, wanting to get home.


I seem a little discomforted, moaning a bit though not waking up.

The guards stand with their weapons ready as the succubus steps through, glaring at her.

 

She doesn’t seem to mind as she gently lays you down between her and the guards.
“I need him healed and conscious as soon as possible. Lady Gaia is near death. If possible, I need to pray to your statue of Tenebrae quickly. Gaia cannot stay in her own domain.” She says, serious.

 

The guards glance at each other, before opening the gates begrudgingly. One of the guards goes to pick me up, before I suddenly sit up, looking around.

"Where's Artemis?" I ask, eyes fixating on the succubus.

 

“Alice and Emerald are healing her and trying to keep Sgavrinn alive. Both are in the Void Palace. Since you’re up, let me take a step back. You know me, I am Rose, Atavul’s advisor. He’s no longer listening to me, and I have been exiled. Gaia is sealed, and I need to speak to Tenebrae urgently before Atavul gets tired of scorching fae and turns to her crystal.” She says, still serious.

 

"Exiled?" I ask, getting to my feet and putting a hand to my head; covering an ear.

 

“I can’t go back to Atavul’s domain. I’ve been stripped of my position and forced to leave. Now, Gaia is sealed and Atavul is going to get bored of killing fae. We need to get her out.”

 

"Uh, alright. I thought removing her crystal was a bad thing?" I ask, removing my hand.

 

“She’s in the crystal. Now, if you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to get praying to Tenebrae and anyone else who will hear me as soon as possible.”

 

Eve bursts out of the palace doors, flying towards me in one huge leap; rolling to her feet once she hits the ground.

"You said there was an emergency?" Eve asks.

I glance at Rose.

 

“Gaia’s sealed, Atavul is running rampant in her palace. We need to get her the hell out.” Rose says, sighing.

 

Eve nods.

"Still want to pray to Tenebrae?" I ask.

 

“Yes. Eve might be able to extract Gaia, but Atavul’s not scared of dying. I could have called Xlentia and Idhaenna to overwhelm him, but then everyone you’ve freed would be vulnerable. We need two gods to knock Atavul down, and your reality has spare.”

 

"Damn it, why did I have to leave Artemis..." I mutter to myself, thinking, "Where the hell is Stephanie..."

"I'll see what I can do. Take Eve and get ready, I'll pray to Tenebrae. She's more likely to listen to me." I say.

 

“I’ll let Xlentia know she needs to get ready.” Rose says, opening a portal to the Void Palace.
“Guess I’m not with your enemy, anymore.” She says to Eve before heading through.

 

Eve follows Rose through.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend, they say." Eve comments.

 

I look at their cards, seeing who won.

 

“I suppose I ought to start trying to build trust.” Rose shrugs, heading towards Xlentia’s chambers as a cloud of smoke.

There’s a draw between you and Percy, who seems to have the exact same hand.

 

Eve watches, able to keep up with Rose easily.

 

Xlentia looks up as Rose enters and kneels.
“Well, it seems the empress of hell has come out of her firepit.” Xlentia growls.
“Look, I’m not with them anymore. Gaia’s sealed and Atavul’s running rampant again. I fed him bad information, and he didn’t buy it and exiled me. I need you to go in, and I’m trying to get one of your friends from the other reality to help you knock him down.” Rose says, bowing.
“If that winds up being a lie, you’re losing your part of history.”
“I’m fine with that.”
Xlentia seems surprised, standing up.
“Well, then... I’ll be ready momentarily. Leave my sight.”
